Why does youtube do this?

I started a new yt channel and the content is original edited by me, i get views in the first 2 days and then none, no impressions either, these are shorts btw

As far as I know shorts have a life time after a certain period of time they just don't show up any more as suggestion only the new ones.

Maybe you need to do some work yourself. Shorts don't reign forever, do some promotion and keep dropping consistently.

I've always assumed YT, like Google, will play with promoting your cideo to a larger audience to see how it does and then if engagement isn't great it won't get pushed in the algorithm any further. What's your engagement/watch time like?
