Google page speed was 93 now its 78 after activating yoast, I get it some tech talk confusion to hide the issue, yuck yuck yuck, yes your customer is a moron, but the reality is: The moment the plugin gets activated my mobile score goes to shit. I am not sure why an SEO plugin makes the SEO-if you think page speed has anything to do with SEO, worse. Frankly I dont see how adding a meta description or a title tag has shit to do with SEO either, I think its a product for a moron class that has no idea WTF SEO is...what I do like is their primary category option, and unfortunately that is all , their site map cant handle large sites, etc..for all that eyes wide shut money, cant they fix the shit speed score their plugin creates on "users" sites

Because it is filled with garbage, it has lots of functions that you don't really need. I switched to The SEO Framework a few years ago and i'm very happy, it is very fast. 99% on mobile 100% on desktop in the pagespeed insight.

I guess they assume if you gonna use yoast pro you will use premium hosting and wp rocket and they don't want free users they had enough already?
Same with elementor.
Also elementor and yoast have teamed up which tells you everything. They are in for money now.

Please show some proof it is yoast slowing down the website. I never heard this before and as far as I know yoast it doesn't make sense blaming yoast. The speed scans could be different because of incidental delay in host speed

It is already known that the more the plugin, the more is the website load speed. That’s why it is important to have plugins made by known developers. Thus Yoast is popular and used by most, they have also optimized it as much as possible for WordPress.
Yoast may increase the loading speed of the admin dashboard as it adds its own elements, including an extra section for SEO and tabs. But rest assured, if you use fewer plugins and do not use plugins just for a simple function (example: go to the top plugin) then your site would load faster.
Obviously. it also depends on page size, hosting speed, and all. But Yoast is an important plugin for WordPress to have for SEO. So Yoast may not increase the loading speed of pages but it will increase the loading speed of the admin dashboard which is normal and shouldn’t affect you unless it takes way too much time.

No, actually we just dumped the pro version of yoast because it was useless and dragging the site down with extra resources, had it for over a year and terrible mobile speeds, elementor pro the adds more resources but alot of clients need the extra functionality.

actually no its not my hosting and lets say this, when I deactivate your plugin its fast, and when I activate it, its slow, yea must be the images on the page, this is the problem with BS-CS point in the opposite direction of the problem

you need a caching plugin.

go see @Festinger he'll sort you out with wordpress rocket.

Your site will fly like shit off a shovel.

I used to be a big fan of Yoast. But even after saying that they've improved its speed, it's still too slow for my liking.

I switched to Rank Math and have never been happier. It has way more features than Yoast but doesn't slow down my site.

lol, lets talk about caching, server CDN, WP Rocket, Autoptimize, Critical CSS, the site in question has 5 optimization plugins at once, and run many many permutations on that.. bro its Yoast, not the site, give it up

It's not an optimal plugin for regular hosting. Have tried premium hosting like wp engine?
