why does so much content on here feel like its just AI generated blabber and replies,

from the original posts, but even mainly to the replies, its all just ai reply junk and its so easy to tell. Why is this going on, are people just farming and making accounts? for what purpose? Is this the forum trying to simulate user interaction?

If you spot anyone doing this please report them and we will handle it.

yeah it’s def giving npc vibes lately lol. bunch of low-effort ai posts everywhere, probs ppl farming rep or leveling up accs to sell or push shady stuff later. not the forum itself doing it, just folks tryna game the system

Unfortunately BHW is not a bubble, we are on the internet as well, and the whole internet, including forums and social media are being bombarded by AI generated content, same applies for comments and posts on Quora, Reddit, FB and so on

good point

I have been reporting the posts a lot and the mods do seem to handle it but a lot of posts still remain after reporting. I don't think this is a viable solution though.

I think BHW has to take a harsher stance against it, even a warning when you are about to reply or even if you're trying to copy and paste a paragraph. There are so many things they can do and I think it's essential.

Real people aren't going to use a forum that is populated by mostly AI

OK but does the increase in copy paste Al posts make you feel lonely? Like the dead internet theory

That is because if it does add value, it's allowed, but if it's spam, we will take care of it. I hope that clears it up. We don't mind AI, but it shouldn't be used all the time to post or make spammy comments.

Thanks for the clarification. It's your business decision. However, as a user, I don't see the value in visiting a forum to read AI posts. As a paying user, I don't see any added value. Please also note that ChatGPT definitely does not give any “black hat” recommendations.

Please don't get me wrong, I also run several AI bots in my own forums, have been using XRumer with anti-spam for years, and now use AI and GSA SER with AI-generated blog comments via my own script. But all of this is done in moderation and with proper prompts.

What did you report these posts for? What was the reason?

Whatever I do or don't do, you always find something to complain about.
Again, it's your business decision to be either consistent or hostile.

This has got nothing to do with that ^. It was a simple question - why did you report these particular posts?

The reason I asked is because I could see nothing wrong with them. I'm trying to ascertain whether you reported them simply because they were AI or some other reason. If it was because you weren't sure if they were a rule infraction, that's no problem. I just wanted to see if I could clarify further what happened with this report. What's hostile about that?

Mods almost always accept my reports and delete the comments

The only thing that bothers me a bit is the fact that those profiles are rarely banned, I'm daily reporting some profiles on crypto section, the comments are removed, but the members are still here, I feel that they've already surpassed the warning limit and they should be already banned after so many reported (and deleted) comments.

But there comes a point where there's so much AI comments that reporting them one by one is not even worth the time or effort.

Honestly though that's not the fault of bhw.

It is happening everywhere.
