Why does new tiktok account gets 0-3 views?

I think something has changed with latest update (got it 2 days ago)
Real iPhone device, dedicated US VPN server, on-demand connection (always connects to vpn) but still I get no views.
For an account, I got 2-3 views but for the other it’s 0.
I use the app like a regular user and I like, swipe and comment for a few hours. Not sure what’s wrong.

Should I wait for a week or so?
Is there a possibility tiktok can detect VPN?

Videos from new accounts are not shown directly on the foryou page. Upload 1-2 videos every day (use some hashtags), then you will get normal views again. If your views only stay at 2-5 views, then the problem is probably the content.

I’ve tried posting 1-2 videos daily for 3 days to see if it makes any difference but still they have 1-2 views. It’s statistically impossible to know a video will be viral or not so I think tiktok knows if it’s a genuine account or not.

I haven't tried that but 2 other people I know who use TikTok have mentioned the same.
 
Is wierd but I have same issue. Not growing even if I do everything I can to promote my tiktok......
 
They know you are using a VPN, it could also be that you are just downloading and uploading video directly without editing, they detect that. I had some success with tiktok last year using gaming videos so I wanted to make another account for crypto but it got no views what so ever, simply because I was downloading and uploading other people's content
 
It is normal, keep adding videos daily and soon you will get more views.
 
same here almost no views! I thought its because of the VPN so I tested on phones: (used content I created myself)
1 account on iPhone with German SIM card without VPN gets zero views
1 account on iPhone with USA SIM card and no VPN got 4 views
1 account on iPhone with USA SIM Express VPN got 20 views
 
Update,I’ve reset idfa on iOS and used new vpn IP. Now it gets 300-1000 views so I think previous account was shadowbanned maybe because of same IP.
When I post it stays in 0 views for hours then it’s picked up by algorithm up to 1k views. I know current niche I do is not viral (20-30 completion rate) so everything looks normal.
 
Are these results still consistent for you? Resetting device allows for views?
 
Try posting consistently every day, no more than 2 videos, spread them out as well.
 
You need to keep posting and maybe change what you are posting? Some of my dog video sky rocket and then the next dont you need to follow the rocket.
