This is a grab of Google results for site:mydomain.com

1 - Look at the dates. Some results show Oct 23, 2012 and others have something like 21 окт 2012. What is this окт text?

2 - Why does Google think SOME of my pages need to be translated? (100% English site)

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Chhhad,

You are most likely seeing this if you searched for a term that Google thought had good results that are in a foreign language. Note that some of the results have the Oct abbreviation for October with no "translate this" link while the others have the German abbreviation for October which is Okt and they do have the translate link. Does your search term or phrase have meaning in German?

This link may give you some more info on why this is happening,

http://translate.google.com/about/intl/en_ALL/tour.html

Hope that helps,

Shawn

Hi, thanks for the reply.

No, I just used site:mydomain.com to find all indexed pages and discovered this. I'm familiar with Google Translate and the integration with search, but I'm confused because there is not one lick of non-English text on my site...

My URL is 3 very common English words, so I have no idea what's up.

I'm in the US, and I've even set my target to US through Webmaster Central.

Any other suggestions?

Have you checked for invisible footer/header link. They tend to have a bunch of text and a link inside a 1x1 px div. you can get em from being hacked or using a LQ/nulled theme.

That could be it. How do I check for this?

But...why wouldn't all my pages show the Translate link?

Check the source of your pages. Is there a meta tag for language? If so what language is it set to? If not you could try adding one for English and see if that helps.
