Why does Facebook keep asking for a 6-digit PIN code to synchronize messages every time I use Facebook?

Since Facebook updated its end-to-end encrypted messaging, many inconveniences have occurred, not because the feature itself is bad, but because Facebook implemented it so poorly. But the most annoying thing is that every time I access Facebook on the web and click on messages, it requires me to enter a 6-digit PIN code, which is really bothersome. Why don't they create a feature to remember familiar devices, so users don't have to keep entering the code manually so many times?

Having to enter a PIN every time you enter a Facebook message is annoying, especially when using a familiar device. Facebook uses encryption for security, but they could improve this by allowing “remember device” to avoid having to enter the code multiple times. They may be concerned about security, but adding periodic authentication would be both secure and convenient for users.
 
Maybe they are considering account security. You can choose to trust the device, which may solve your problem.
 
Facebook requires users to set up a 6-digit PIN to complete setup. The purpose of this PIN code shared by Facebook is to restore the chat on Messenger when the account logs in on a new device. Sometimes we feel uncomfortable, but it also helps our messages be more secure.
 
This is annoying, but it will help you secure your account more, helping you avoid strange logins that will not be able to view your messages.

This is very annoying for users, but in general you will be safe or when someone else accesses your account, they will not be able to see the messages because there is no security code.
 
Its a layer of conversation protection, If you don't have the 6-pin key you are not able to check previous messages.

You can turn this feature off yourself in the settings on Messager

It's very simple. For example, if your account is hacked, the 6-digit code will help prevent hackers from reading your messages.
 
Recently, Facebook accounts often have this situation and it will secure your account better to avoid theft and malicious intent on your account.

Instead of entering a pin code, they can remember the device or scan their face

Some of my chats have been blanked out, can't be loaded, it's really buggy
 
It somehow helps boost the security for your Fb account. Though it seems a little bit annoying, it is safe

Even after entering the 6-digit code, many old messages are not fully displayed.
 
I completely feel you on this! The constant need for a 6-digit PIN is really annoying, especially when you’re on the same device all the time. It would make so much sense for Facebook to let us mark devices as trusted to skip that step. It’s frustrating that they haven’t thought of this yet. Hopefully, they’ll roll out something like that soon!

This is nothing just a new problem from Meta and everyone is facing it.

This is the new security feature and you need to add code so that you can access past chats.
 
Facebook is trying to increase your security because people are logging in on multiple devices. If you find it annoying, you can turn it off in settings.
