I was thinking of promoting my sites again with FB, but my ads get consistently disapproved for some basic BS they constantly send me back:

I wanted my ads to focus on single men between 30-50 yo, who are interested in women, etc.

My latest rejected ads was (after having it toned down many-many-many times):

------------------
title: online dating
text: wanna try out online dating? only do so if you are interested in online dating
pic: normal woman fully dressed, no nudity or even cleavage
------------------

------------------
title: online dating
text: an overview of online dating sites
pic: normal woman fully dressed, no nudity or even cleavage
------------------

As for my website: it is a review site of normal non-adult mainstream datingsites which are the biggest in europe and do TV commercials (so no nasty stuff). No pics of girls, just plain and simple with good design and layout, no popups or any other evil stuff.

THEY SEND BACK (standard response):

- only focus on single people is allowed
- only focus on people who are interested in only one sex: men or women
- no nudity or adult content allowed
- cannot say 'come here and chat'
- etc, etc of code of conducts and other BS

This while in the past I have run some really nasty evil ads promoting very awful things (I quit 2 years ago out of feelings of guilt)

And currently I see people promoting also crappy things like:

"Are you single: wanna come and chat with me and my hot friends" (which points to a site that has a lot of fake girl profiles promoting a datingsite)

and another person using a girl in a bikini with "I have more pics: come and see more pics of me, click here!"

some other person promoting get rich quick scheme using gambling with lines: "wanna make 500 euros an hour?: Look at the BMW I made with this technique"

Who the hell is approving these frikkin crazy ads while disapproving my much more calmed down and sterile ads???

Can anybody explain such weird stuff to me?

ps: if somebody here works for facebook and I bet you are watching this thread like hawks, can u plz comment on this strange stuff happening??

You have to meet their basic guidelines in regards to targeting:
facebook .com/help/ ? faq= 19114

Facebook ad approvers hate their lives.... they take it out on great ads. You have to simply keep reposting those ads with BS reasons. I found that I can get most through in the mornings; I'm in EST.

Newest ads disapproved:

HONESTLY, I cant get be more plain and simple and I also didnt even choose a supermodel as a pic, just some regular looking girl.

I cant understand they think this is so misleading????

My new ones I am gonna try out with the pic all of my competitors use and what Shoemoney recommends, some girl in grey shirt.

If this doesnt work I dont know anymore, especially when I see some other ad for dating site saying: "Are you single? - come and play with me.... I want to find a nice man to love me" with pic of a girl showing some cleavage + it is an affiliate link pointing to "C-date" I dont know if you guys know of C-date but it is an adult dating site!!!

HONESTLY, WHO APPROVED THIS FRIKKIN AD (and disapprove my ad)??????????

The above ads were all rejected as they said the usual BS of adult content and that the description does not match the product being offered.

I also tried another variation as well (which also got rejected):

Also I tried to get an ad approved which in the past also got approved, which of my parents (normal) buzinezz got rejected 1 time, and in the second attempt did get approved (with exactly the same stuff that previously rejected).

Something strange... these facebook employees

Do you know what is really fucked up? Today I got an ad approved (to test something) promoting payday loans as FREE MONEY!!!! I saw a somebody else doing it on FB, so I thought, why not? I got a pic of a hot girl (with full clothes on) with the ad of free money.... funny people that approve the FB Ads....

And you know what??? I got the ad approved to point at kids under 16! I think these people of FB are frikkin strange.... dating not allowed but pointing payday loans at minors (the credit company wouldnt approve them anyway)....

I have a feeling that dating is a big no for most people who approve....

Now I watch more at the ads I have seen the nastiest stuff come by: loads of gambling ads, sexdate (well he points at an url that forwards to a sexdate site), loads of shady get rich quick schemes...but funny enough: dating is a big taboo!

They do make life difficult and they seem to have no common procedures.
I had ads running last year. They approved ad1 eventually, then I changed the age group and submtted new ad2 which was bumped. Then they approved ad3 (another age change) and dissapproved ad1. It makes no sense.
Don't try to find any reason in there or you will end up like a monkey, just like them.

You should try to use a redirection on your landing page that you remove once your ad is approved, it works well

yeah but i thought maybe its not the ad content which fb does not like, but the website content he links to...

Very high chance that the offer you're promoting is not allowed on FB anymore.

it is very hard with them dont try to find logic trust me it is waste of time in there case best will be to keep on sending till one gets in

one suggestion don't use slang or fast english 'wanna' , use proper english
