I will describe this from my perspective because it depends on what you do, but for me, this whole Facebook (META) is messed up with these algorithms. I have been running a very large marketing agency for years. Due to the extensive scope of our daily activities, we connect marketing tests to around 100 accounts. These are tests of real marketing actions on Instagram or Facebook – we are connected as editors and we create campaigns. Of course, we check the text to make sure there's nothing wrong and that the images are appropriate. But despite this, we constantly face bans on our advertising account and these are ongoing errors. Facebook apologizes and unblocks due to algorithmic mistakes. Still, because I have an agency, I get blocked or the account that runs ads gets penalized. This happens because we promote a post on Instagram, and something negative was posted on that account half a year ago, resulting in bans imposed on us. Facebook is a failure – yes, I've been working there for 12 years, doing marketing on Facebook, but the support and the whole environment are a messed up affair. Currently, my account is blocked – for seemingly absurd reasons – my child, mother, father, and even grandmother's accounts are all blocked because that's how Facebook operates. They won't give you any reason why it's blocked, and nothing will help you, even though I've spent well over a million dollars on ads across my ad accounts. ZERO SUPPORT – it's unreasonable. I'm waiting for something new, something that will provide people with more. Currently, this entire Instagram and Facebook thing boils down to one thing: "PAY AND YOU'LL GET RESULTS."
I've also received bans on Facebook for running ads that were too cheap through my ad accounts. When I recorded a video explaining why it's not worth using the "boost post" button and why you should use Ads Manager, I got banned for six months because they want people, in their view, to keep using "boost post."
One could go on, but fundamentally, Facebook and Instagram are platforms not for you, but you are for them. They give you reach on a random post so that later you'll pay to achieve the previous outcome.
