Why does Facebook ask for Verification?

View attachment 478005

i have been using my Facebook ads account, but today, i saw that Facebook is asking for verification.

i don't want to be verified.

Can I continue using my Facebook ads without pausing them, or do I need to verify?
Sometimes we feel it is annoying, but for me it helps increase the security of your assets, when someone logs in and uses it abnormally, verification is required.

FB requires verification because you are running ads in countries that require a business license. You can still run ads without verification, but your account will be less trustworthy. If you can use documents to verify your account, it will be better.

Facebook requires verification to confirm that an ad account belongs to a real person and complies with its policies. If verification is requested, you’ll need to complete it otherwise, your ads may be paused or have limited delivery. This step can’t be skipped once it’s required.

You should still be able to run ads for the moment, but they’ll probably force verification later on.

Recently, many of my accounts have had this problem. I pressed the x to turn it off and found that it was fine. My campaign is still running normally.

Best case, you can keep running small campaigns, worst case, they lock your account entirely.

You can continue your advertising without verification as it is just a notification and not a requirement or error, but later if you run a campaign in a country that requires this type of verification then you will need to verify before running the campaign.

For campaigns in regions like Singapore, or the EU, Facebook now requires payer and beneficiary verification. Ads may run briefly but can be paused anytime, so it’s best to complete verification early — Meta is enforcing these checks more strictly than before.

Facebook usually blocks or limits ad accounts until verification is done. So if they’re asking, you likely need to verify to keep running ads smoothly. Ignoring it risks your account getting paused or disabled. Better to complete the verification ASAP.

Some countries and ad types now require verification due to stricter regulations. If Facebook requests it, you must complete the process — unverified accounts will face advertising limits. In some cases, adjusting your ad’s target country can help avoid unnecessary verification delays.

FB ads may run briefly without verification but campaigns will likely be limited or paused until the process is completed

Why don't you want to verify? Verified accounts will be safer and more stable.

You'll probably have to change your targeted area to proceed if you wish to avoid verification. Certain countries mandate verification.

Facebook asks for verification to protect users from impersonation, fraud, and bots, and to comply with regulations.

When you have unusual activity, the system will request verification and force you to do it yourself or ask someone else to do it. I see there is a verification service.

When there is a request from the Meta system, you need to do this verification.
Of course, you can continue to advertise but will soon be limited due to not being verified.
Because your account or advertising campaign has unusual activities, the system requires verification to increase the reputation of your account.
In addition, you should prepare backup Facebook accounts early so that you can replace them when necessary. This helps your work not be interrupted.

I usually ignore this verification issue, my account is still fine

This warning will appear occasionally but rest assured it will not affect your ads. You can choose to verify or not. I had the same problem as you.
