When i type long tail keyword on SERP
My site ranking on the second page, but I find that the site above me is don't have this long tail keyword, they are just short head keywords.
The DR of the website above me is similar to my website, and I have more content than them. I think the content of my articles is not bad. Why is this?
Where exactly did I lose?

Hard to tell without seeing your URL, but it could be backlinks, content quality, on page seo, technical seo.

It's hard to understand what's actually wrong.
You don't have just one site above yours, but 10.

The best you could do is look at all of them to see what they're doing better than you.
 
That's very common to see. It happens all the time with different niches.

No matter what you do, you still won't be ranking above them. It's just how Google works.
 
They might have better on-page or backlinks. Also, keep your articles updated, even small things can improve your rankings.
 
If you use Long tail keywords use the exact match keyword of the Longtail KW in the Article Title and some keyword stuffing

Sometimes the Keyword we use in the Article Titles and other sectors is more support for the Anchor text we use in the Articles

So, try to use keywords in the On page sections you can get better results
 
The answer to this is " competitive analysis." It is the key to unlocking this quest.
 
We can't say, without analysing your site, sometimes it may due quality of content or backlinks.
 
It is tough to get an idea without but here I can give you some glimpse that it can be reason for drop or lost.

Many factors can cause your rankings to drop in Google. Most frequently, we see drops because of changes that were made to the website, but they can also be caused by an algorithm update, technical issues, improvements competitors made, SERP lay-out changes or a Google penalty.

maybe you should improve your content
 
targeting long tail keywords / low volume keyword is a waste of time (and money)
focus on high volume keywords, and long tail keyword will stick like what was happened to your competitor.

Google doesn't care about the SEO tools DR. they have their own formula. don't believe the DR too much...

if you believe your content is good, the only way to gain ranking is more backlinks
 
Have you considered how you interlinked your content?

How strategic is your interlinking strategy?

How do you label your articles or posts?

Do you target specific keywords with your file names?

How aggressive are you when it comes to image tagging?

Don't just focus on your "lost" ranking.

Focus instead on the big picture, complete with these small details that I have mentioned above.

Depending on how competitive your niche is, every little detail counts, so focus on the factors I listed and see if your rankings improve.
 
Have you checked GSC to see if there was any manual actions or other penalties?
 
Check out the Backlinks of the site or do some competitive analyze research to get ideas about it. Change your method of link building, Add better Quality content than before. Focus on your On-page.
