If I was an accountant, $200k would be a great annual income - because I would be able to earn at least that for my entire working career.
Internet marketing, however, is tumultuous. It can all end very quickly, depending on Googles mood.
Therefore, I need to apply a risk premium to the income, and take the view that it's worth a 3rd of a steady and dependable lifelong income.
Therefore, I wouldnt still be at it without a set of numbers that considers the above.
However - in the same way that the volatility makes the income worth less in my opinion, the lifestyle makes the income more valuable than earning that income by 'working' for it - as an accountant, for example.
