Hey everyone,
I have been testing quora for a while and noticed something that does not make much sense.
Two accounts can post similar answers in the same niche but one gets instant views while the other barely gets any reach.
It does not seem to depend only on age, followers or even answer quality.
Feels like quora might have some hidden trust or authority signal affecting distribution.
Has anyone figured out what actually drives early reach now?

Hi @live skeleton

I think quora definitely has some kind of trust score behind the scenes, even if they do not openly talk about it.

I have seen accounts with very few followers get decent reach, while older accounts with more followers struggle to get views. In my experience, consistency within a niche seems to matter a lot. If an account regularly answers questions around the same topic and gets engagement, quora appears to distribute those answers more aggressively.

Another thing I noticed is that once an account starts getting traction, future answers seem to get picked up much faster. It feels like quora is constantly testing accounts and rewarding the ones that have performed well in the past.

Nobody outside quora knows the exact factors, but I would be surprised if answer quality alone was deciding distribution. There is probably a mix of account history, niche authority, engagement signals, and overall trust.

Topic authority also seems to matter. If an account regularly performs well in a specific niche , Its future answers in that niche often get more visibility . Quora may be seems to have some internal trust signals beyond followers and account age. I have seen newer accounts get strong distribution while older accounts struggle.

At the end I would say focus on answering relevant questions consistently ,maintaining a strong answer quality and building engagement with in your niche.
