Why do posts made from the mobile app perform better and have more reach?

A few people have told me that you limit your reach if you post using schedulers like Buffer, Hootsuite etc

Is that true and if so can you explain why that is?

If that is true what about other activities like commenting and direct messages? Can they be done on the scheduling tools and API based software like ManyChat without limit?

Because twitter, facebook, instagram can determine who posted, in this the app, using their api.
It use to say posted via buffer or hootsuite next to tweet.
That's the trade off of automation.
 
It will have limited reach, I encountered the same situation as yours

Posts made from the app has more metadata which the algorithm can use for better determination.

Do you think that by editing the metadata of photos/videos, they will have an increase in views?
 
Because IG wants to encourage using their own app, filters, editor etc as much as possible

It's the same thing as 'why Google will rank Google AdSense website higher than the website with another ad software connected'

Yes, changing metadata means you do not get tracked if you are posting the same reel in multiple accounts

No. I am not talking about the metadata that comes from the image/video itself. That metadata gets stripped out by Instagram when you make an upload.

I am talking about client specific metadata. Things like your phone's location, existing activity cookies, what content you engage with etc.
The kind of stuff that can only be obtained from a real app.

It's also possible that some part of that metadata acts a "bot switch". That is, Instagram injects some specific random metadata into an upload only from the actual app which is then picked up by the algorithm.

Instagram likely considers those mobile uploads as "pushworthy" and hence you get better cheaper when uploading from the app.

probably explains why my reach on pc is so poor
 
Because Instagram is designed for mobile phones. So when you interact with IG via a phone they give that interaction/connection a higher "trust score"
Because browsers are so easy to automate, and IG know this. They are very skeptical to any interactions with their platform from browsers for this reason.

Yes, It's true. It's because the fingerprints can easily be detected by Instagram.

I have a question too if I downloaded a video from YouTube using a software and edited it on my Instagram and post it as reel
Will it negatively affect my reach ? If yes what should be the approach to solve it
Also I m not posting in bulk or anything
 
Yes, you can use some tools for scheduled posting. ManyChat is good for messaging but not quite enough. If you're looking for an automated chat tool that feels natural, you might find it a bit challenging. I haven’t found a tool that works well yet.
