eBay limits accounts very quickly. New accounts are usually limited to 1k/10 items per month.
Stealth accounts allow you to bypass the limits that eBay imposes.
A lot of people use stealth accounts to sell replicas, too, because they can't be traced back to the person.
Another reason someone would use a stealth account is if their original account was banned for something. Even legitimate accounts can get banned or limited by eBay if you get enough problematic buyers.
