People can find inspirations and ideas for their interest and hobbies on Pinterest. Every idea is represented by pin, which is an image that is searched and saved by Pinterest user. Pin can also link back to websites, which is why Pinterest is great for driving traffic and sales.

People use Pinterest to bookmark things they like and share them with friends and followers. It's also fun to browse through things other Pinterest users have discovered. I have found lots of things that I otherwise never would have. It's also plain fun to browse pins.

It is a Visual Content platform and not just a social media site. Its also a Popular Search Engine Optimization Platform like Google.
Google is the King and Pinterest is Queen of Traffic factor.

I use it to share blog post and due to the fact that backlink shows in gsc.
 
even if you dont use it, its good for citations and as well to create relevence in social media

One of the most common reasons users come to Pinterest is for inspiration. I want to find and share new ideas, I pinned home's design, tattoos, pets, beautiful people, all these stuffs can make me feel better)When I want to rest - I can just scroll the Pinterest)

I agree, I use Pintrest to explore interior design ideas, tattoos, haircuts and the like. PLus its fun to use

Long time since it was launched, it has more quality than before, may be not helpful for some people but still goto place for idealists.
 
I don't use Pinterest because it doesn't give me the kind of traffic that converts.
 
I've seen mediavine approved websites that generate traffic from Pinterest. Also, with the SEO game changing rapidly, it's a nice strategy to diversify your traffic. However, pinterest doesn't work for all the niches. This works mostly for female friendly niches and for health/diet niches.

I myself am focusing on pinterest since last month. Till now I was only focusing on SEO.
 
Yeah! However, Pinterest's rules are more strictly about spam :(
 
I'm doing now a case study starting new account on all major social platforms and analyzing reach and clicks.

Things could work differently depending on your niche and target audience.

I seen marketers having over 1M followers on one platform and under 200 followers on other.

Test few platforms then focus your time and efforts and even ads money on platform(s), that converts best for you.
