Why do people start IM journeys?

Accountability is the main reason to start a journey. They quit because motivation is temporary. Need is permanent.
 
It took me way too long to learn that motivation is a fire and disc is the only thing that will keep it burning :)
 
Maybe they start IM journey, because of following Mentality
Motivation | Inspiration | Transformation | Interest | Etc..

He / She Might Quit So fast, because of the Following Mentality
Boredom | Fail to Remember | Lose Control | Etc..

Smart people share the process not the method.
And even if the method is shared it's only a handful of people who will benefit from it.
As most people don't take action as they are doubtful, some are lazy just want to be spoon-fed.

Some start to keep themselves accountable. And quit because lack of wil.

Some start journey threads as their fishing net for newbies. They describe some methods/techniques/software etc, make up some fake numbers, then start a BST. Innocent Newbies who believe everything they see on the internet fall for this and buy their junk. This is exactly what Sartre did.
 
a lot of reason. but same for everyone that quit, they are not ready to pay the price
 
I think they post it to just stay motivated and maybe give and get some advice from other users
 
to stay motivated obv and to get support from other members aaand maybe to inspire others as weel. I think they quit so fast because most of them set unrealistic goals, steps, or whatev..
 
Because they want to create a reputation for themselves by clearly specifying from the outset that they do not want to sell you anything, and then, when the time comes, once they have created proselytes, sell them something?
Could it be?

Well put. 8 out of 10 people won't do anything and the other 2 would never be able to replicate all the steps you take when posting a journey. The internet is a big place, no need to worry unless your method can be patched.
 
I started multiple journeys and quit all of them, it's just too hard and my mood swings tend to go towards the extreme side of the spectrum, either I'm very depressed or very manic.
