I suppose the cause is Americans are more prone to buying. And if an American sells to American it seems more legit and trustworthy than from other countries.
USA is the largest Reddit user base by a large margin so, by using USA mobile/residential ips, you can blend in better resulting in a smaller risk of being chain banned due to IP related issues.
I didn't understand question. What does US-based mean? You can buy reddit acc registered with US IP or buy any other account and use US proxy. Or you mean that it's better when there is info in profile that "a user" from US?
probably because they buy accounts and these were created in the USA. but also because the USA is the largest part of the Reddit community and it is not as easy to notice the accounts as spam as if someone from Kazakhstan would use reddit
