Why do my comments get auto-deleted as spam, but the true spammers' don't?

I found some good non-wordpress PR5+ blogs to post on, but many of them have spam protection that always auto-deletes my comments. Even when I take the time to write a long relevant post and remove my anchor text, it still gets clipped. Then I look above and see spammy posts from days earlier about Ipods and Coach purses with blatant keyword anchors and short, irrelevant comments that somehow made it through.

WHAT THE F. How are they detecting me?

I guess its possible, but I have had this problem on more than one blog. BlogEngine is the worst for me. The second I refresh the page, the post is gone.

Same here! I been trying to comment on a .edu PR10 site and my comments keeps getting rejected while other spammy comments are approved. Makes no sense.

Most likely your IP address is banned by akismet, a spam filter, and all your future posts from that same IP will be marked as a spam. I face the same problem and I'm trying to find solution how to avoid it in first place to get on akismet list.

I faced such problem several times as I use edge modem internet connection and it has dimensional ip. Dimensional ip is also counted as spamming in the spam protection.

Probably an Askimet ban for your website + IP, read threads about it you can find many
