Why do I live this life?

At times I'm so pumped for the idea, I can't wait to launch it, and other times I'm like this.

I feel for you man, this is what I'm like too. All I've got to say to you is don't give up and keep going, find a partner or someone you can co work with like mentioned above, that's what I'm trying to do. If you do it right, it'll help you, you can bounce energy off of each other and when one is down the other will bring him up and so on. There's also the saying, "you?re the average of the five people you spend the most time with."

Well I finally found this thread. Why am I on web? Well.. because I love it?!!

We are nothing but some fungi, on a spinning rock called earth. If you think broadly, our lives do not have any value in terms of the universe. Should we not live then?
Ofcourse we should!
That is where the beauty of life is IMO. Sorry dude, I am not as rich as many of you, but still I love what I do. If this programming thingy wasn't there, I would have been working in a call center today ( that's what I originally started on when I was a kid) thinking my life is full of shit.

Is my life full of shit? Nope! Not atleast for me ( and that counts the most!). Everyday, I wake up thinking, I will do something new today. I will break some new barrier. That keeps me going. I guess that keeps all of us going. You never know when you will be dead. Do what you feel comfortable with. I believe, that's how you live your life.

As for earning money online, if you ever earned it, you will earn it again somehow. Forget about what will happen tomorrow. Make today, a better day.

Just my two cents ~ :-)

I think one of the biggest mistakes that people make is not creating a real business.

Not saying that certain forms of "IM" isn't real - but by "real business" I mean something that becomes an asset that you can later sell if you want - or something that other companies notice and want to acquire.

Something that will run if/when you step away. THAT is a real business.

Chasing the next big thing and always scrambling isn't a business.

But OP - sounds like the job offer might be a good change of pace for you - and who knows - it might spark some new ideas and benefit you more in the end.

Life is short. Do what makes you happy.

Best wishes in whatever you decide to do.

Same thing was happening to me 1 year ago. I was working crazy hours a day and constantly worrying about my future. I am only 22 and live on my own for 4 years now far from my parents I make good money every month and I afford to stay in a nice apartment and help out my family and sometimes is hard for me too but with time Ive learned that its very important to manage your working hours and find something else to do beside your computer. I keep the balance in my life by playing Bowling at PRO level and I get paid to do this :). I have bought 2 offline business that are doing good so far and you can buy some too because you are making good money. Another thing like ShadeDream said you need to find some partners just because you can not do every thing by yourself and trust me I am so grateful that I have chose to have a partner this was the best thing that happend to my business. Last thing I wanna say is that you don`t need to worry about google wiping out all of your work JUST BECAUSE GOOGLE CAN NOT WIPE OUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE!!!

You need to create your own product. You have the knowledge and a little searching will teach you the rest. That's the way you create security in this trade.

Absolute gem ! You have lived your life. Surely..
i think you should take a step back and look at what you have already accomplished.
Evaluate your achievements and then decide what to do next.
Often, we dont see/value the things we already have and take them for granted.
Even the feeling of the unknown future can give you happiness subconciously. To know that you design your future and nobody else can change it at will. Very very few people can actually say that.

I understand that totally. I've been in the world of online income for almost 5 years and I still feel like i'm chasing my tail most days. I'm still trying NOT to work on the weekends. But, I have tons of family time with my children. I'm gonna be honest online money is a trapped! I can't go out and look for a job nobody will hire me at my current hourly. In a sense, I'd always be making their company double or triple my annual salary anyway, or it wouldn't make good business sense to have me on.

I feel like this, yes you should diversify. Yes, you should break away and enjoy life. And yes, you need to to set yourself up starting now! Job security is nowhere actually. So when I think about it, I've for the best deal right here.

All your problems have answers to, just seems you are not looking for the answers to your problems.

Hey OP,

I have worked lots of corporate type jobs in my life-time ranging from corporate marketing to financial planning and advising, and you know what, out of all of them, internet marketing has provided the most satisfaction and has allowed me to lead the life I have always dreamed of!

Below are just a few benefits I think you truly reap when doing Internet Marketing

1. Your potential income is truly uncapped and solely based on your personal ambitions and dedication towards your IM ventures

2. You have the luxury of working from ANYWHERE in the world, all you really need is your laptop and a somewhat solid internet connection :)

3. You don't have to wake up every morning and dress up in a 3 piece suite. You can run your business straight from your bedroom and in your pajamas if you wish.

Hope this helps shed some light on the wonderful things you have in your life and when doing IM! :)

Cheers!

Gather up money and invest in something else that will start bringing in a income... keep doing that and you won't have to even work to make money

Thanks for all the replies.
As I mentioned earlier, I think my issue is I've never worked as an employee, so I don't know how good it is.

i think you should take a step back and look at what you have already accomplished.
Evaluate your achievements and then decide what to do next.
Often, we dont see/value the things we already have and take them for granted.
Even the feeling of the unknown future can give you happiness subconciously. To know that you design your future and nobody else can change it at will. Very very few people can actually say that.

Thing is, I'm a perfectionist and set my goals high.
I could make $1M per year for 20 years, and lose it, and all I'll think about is losing it rather than the money I've made.
I don't like to fail at anything... which should be motivation for me to succeed.

As I mentioned I'm in the midst of creating a very large site. I paid very good money to acquire the domain, which did give me motivation. I've been busting my ass to get this site launched, but due to past roadblocks that have gotten in the way, they are in the back of my mind. I never used to be like this, but now I can't help but think of them.
Sometimes I'm like I know I can make this huge. I have a plan set, it's better than any of my competitors, I'm going to kill this.
Then it's like fuck, something will happen, I'll get fucked over somehow and I'll be kicking myself for not taking the stable job when I had the chance.
I neveer wanted to be a sheep like the rest of the world, do a regular job, and live a regular life. I hated the thought of it. But now it's just like fuck, why not, good pay, enough to buy things I want, have free time, and be normal.

Just to make you relax a bit: Actually relax, and take a coin and do 10x toss ups. Heads: not going for the job, tails: the job gets me!

Tell me the result.

Remember: It's a relaxant, fun. :)

The serious part: Relax, then think again about this problem -- become a new man with a new problem! You should have a perfect solution then.

Hi Jon

First of all Jon, you need to get your head out of your arse! ( I mean that in a caring way, just touch the screen and "Heal" :) )

and be very thankfull for what you have! ( Millions more have to do the same with a lot lot less!)

you need to look at your kids and be thank full for their health !

and before you ask no I am not a bit religious !

It seems to me that you need your mind fixing or your mindset need re setting!

Start to think / focus on what you want and not on what you dont have ! thinking about what you dont have
just brings more of that into being! you just get more of wanting, because thats what your focusing on!

Basicly put " you get what you think about"

if you P.M me i can give you a person who can get your mind right so to speak, a bit like reformatting your hard drive removes all the crap so you can do a clean install of windows. and no I'm not affiliated to this person and I don't get any kick backs. you could check it out and you never know it may just help.

In the mean time try the below

Start to treat your business like a job, eg 9 to 5

Don't work from a room in your house ( if poss) try a garden
shed ( theres plenty of cheap ones around now)
providing you have a garden!

Take the money you make and invest in say, property !
this gives an income if you rent out plus the long term growth
towards retirement and takes the pressure off you having to always
be successful online.

you need to just pugg some money away
if you have some spare every month just stick an amount
away in a bank and forget about it

Hope these ideas help you Jon, and if not I'm doing a deal this week
on ropes, handguns, and on special offer is my exhaust to window Kit
and this deal is really smoking!

In the mean time keep smiling :)

Andy

AMCTR, you sounded the whole thing like a plot of a horror film, buddy
