For the second time today I was threatened by someone i started working with from here!!

The first time i was threatened by a guy who I payed $10 to create a facebook page profile pic. The cheeck of it threatening to shitlist me over $10 because I asked for a 2nd revision.

And now today i was threatening by a guy i have an ongoing dispute with. Basically he ripped me off for $90, this was for 15 articles for which he took a month to deliver. they came in 2 parts and i didn't check the 2nd part for a while, upon checking it i realised that he has sent me a blank rar file. I tried to contact him several times over a week, when he finally got back to me tried to tell me it was my fault.

Im unable to create a shitlist for the guy as i cant remember his username as after the initial contact on here we spoke on skype.

I did try to file a dispute with paypal but they closed it as it was over 45 days, but hes now saying hes OUTRIGHT not writing the articles as i filed a dispute. This is not true and it was closed right away.

I have contacted Pofecker as i have been informed admins are the only ones able to search for a username via email.

I made the order on the 16/02/2012 and didn't receive the articles till the 10/03/2012 and the projected time for completion i was told was a few days.

So maybe I should have realised the file was blank sooner but because he took so long to deliver I had moved onto another project and forgotten about this.

initially he asked me to drop the dispute then he would provide the articles but i cant as paypal never opened the dispute as its over 45 days.

So I'm lost what to do now.

See his last message below.

Clearly I will not lift a finger to rewrite those articles. Like I said inan earlier response, if you had not taken so long to let me know there was aproblem I would have been able to resend them.

If you are considering leaving a bad review on BHW, don't I will return thefavor and point out how you blamed me for something that was largely your ownfault while taking ages to get orders to me that you promised, and tried tonail me on paypal for something that you should have taken care of well over a monthearlier. I still have the skype and email messages where you were dicking mearound about placing orders. Your account on BHW has a lot more to lose thanmine. You will not win that one.

This conversation and our business dealings are over.

The dicking him around comment was because I opened a thread saying I needed someone to create SOME articles for me and that there may be more work for the individual. He took this as me offering him a permanent job and expected me to keep him writing articles indefinitely.

I tried to help this guy I even over paid him so he would deliver quality.

NOTE to everyone be careful who you deal with as it seems every little prick with an account with threaten your JR.Vip account at any opportunity.

This has made me not even want to use this forum any more

Looks like you dealt with a bad egg. Happens to all of us at some point!

If you still need the articles hit me up and i'll get 5-10 done for you for free if you want? I've got some free time >.<

Good luck getting this guy slapped with the ban stick. Completely unacceptable behavoir when providing a service. At the end of the day he should still have the articles somewhere.

If that's the case, why don't you report him to mods/admins? Rather than posting a thread without mentioning the member's name.

Happens to everyone. Just count the loses and move on. Make a trusted group of individuals and always stick to them.

did you even bothered to read the whole post?? OP clearly said he can`t remember the username of the user ...and he already contacted one of the mods about this??

Correct!! i created a thread asking for content writers and he PM'd me his skype and that was the only communication so I cant remember his username. I have gone back through all my messages but cant find his.

I have contacted a Admin!!

I dont even want care about the money i just want this little prick off here because people should not be getting threatened on here. I just came back off a week long ban and it nearly killed me the thought of loosing my account makes me want to kick his ass (Which i would). Killakem <------- 5-1-0 semi pro MMA record lol

I've only skimmed over your thread but you sound like a baby. Stick to the BST section and you'll be fine.

Whenever doing any sort of deal on BHW make sure they PM you as
Insurance.
If some one contacks me via Skype unless I know them I ask them to PM me
to verify their identity. If they can't PM yet then they are certainly someone
to be wary of.

clearly using language like that is just looking to get threats @ them. You contacted the mods / admin, what else? Wait for a response and then take action

I'm sorry to hear that. Each of us has one or 2 bad experiences like that, but that's all. Most people are very decent.

Get your articles done on Textbroker.com. Good quality and fast service, really recommend them.

Thanks for your positive input!! Its guys like you that make BHW a great community.

Yeah, I totally agree with Ox on this one.

Take better protective measures when dealing with someone you don't know from ANY forum on the internet for the first few transactions, until you build that trust.

With it being individuals and not actual services that can be held responsible, I would recommend asking the mods or more experienced members who they use for suggestions, as most have tried the new services out to make sure they are on the up and up.

However, keep in mind that human beings have different degrees of ethical codes and professionalism, as well as lack there of. Don't let this discourage you from using the services, just use a standard formula for protecting yourself...here is an example check list to get you started:

$ Always ask for smaller trial, test projects to be done.

$ Always ask for references, ( this may not be something they can provide, which is where the trial project comes in handy).

$ Always shop around to a couple of places and keep your work outsourced to a few places, just in case. At the prices you are working at here and places of the like, it is super easy to afford to do the extra work and build a stockpile from multiple sources, as you will always need articles if you are article marketing.

$ Always check your finished product when you receive it, first thing...not a month or two downt the line. This is business, no matter what the scale and you have treat it as such.

$ Always keep full contact info on the service contact, as they are the direct source for keeping tabs and protecting yourself. If they are legitimate, you will have no problem getting them to give you that info, as it should be on their website if any.

That should get you started and you will surely want to edit/add to this list for your own peace of mind.

Don't quit trusting, just clearify your reasons for trusting over time with moving from the benefit of the doubt, through to the full experience of working with someone you can count on to get the task done. It ALWAYS takes the risk of the first step to get there and we all have been tripped up by obstacles in the road...it is life and the experiences that come from it, both good and bad.

Thank you for taking the time to write that.

Now guys like you are definitely what makes this a brilliant community to be apart of.

I had already ordered 15 articles from the guy and they were good so I thought it was safe to commence with more orders. but u never can be too careful I have learnt from this.

The money's gone but I just don't want this guy to be able to scam anyone else. I should of stopped working with him strait away as his whole attitude STANK!! but he's content wasn't bad so i bit the bullet.

Did you check the profile of all the guys that respond to your thread? They're not that many. Then you can look at pm's from each one of them.

Yea I did mate!! couldn't find anything pertaining to him. I'm just gonna leave it up to the admin's to find him. I had 2 want to hire threads at the time and received a shit load of PM's!! Thats why its near impossible to locate him using that method.

Don't ever be afraid of calling someone out out of fear of retaliation. When you're on Skype from now on, ask their user name so it's in the log as well. With that being said, getting a pm isn't a bad idea.

After a while you'll get better at figuring out who to trust. When I first started, I was very niave thinking everyone was professional with a heart of gold. Boy, was I wrong. LOL

Thats no reason to stop doing business with others or to stop using the forum. I no longer do jv's with anyone under JR VIP without a decent post count or BST (one or the other) and I no longer pay anything until its delivered and tested (unless I bought it from a BST obviously). My disappointment rate since implementing these things has decreased drastically.

Just remember...as harsh as a reality as this may be...just because you'd pay in full or deliver perfection , treat people with respect, etc etc...doesn't mean the person you're dealing with will. We're different people from different cultures, ways of doing business, different moral justifications, etc. also this is the Internet. If someone can make a quick buck scamming, it's bound to happen. Hell, I've seen girls get scammed out of their used MAKEUP on cosmetics forums where I'm an active member. Bottom line, scumbags are going to do scumbag things. Do your best to protect yourself in the future. Hope this helps.

Oh, ok. I only saw one with around 7 answers. But anyway, he probably never wrote in the thread and only pm you, that's the way scammers usually do it...

You only skimmed the OP's post and then you bash a fellow Jr. VIP?

Sorry, but you come off like an arrogant jacka$$.

Congrats - you are now the first Jr. VIP that I've neg rep'd.

@Killakem,
You've got lots of great advice - just make sure to follow it in the future and you'll be fine. Don't let ignorant members like two that threatened you and ShadeDream lessen the reputation of the majority of members here. Just keep yourself safe from being ripped off (or at least as much as you can) and continue to have faith in our great forum.

Remember the old Russion proverb "doveryai, no proveryai" (Trust, but verify)

Paying anything upfront for articles, graphics, etc. is dumb. Chalk it up as a lesson learned. I would never ever buy creative product in which I had to pay upfront. Especially on a site that is full of people that just want the quick hit or game the system.

Use a site like guru dot com. There are plenty of others as well.
