Why Do Criminal Buy Gift Cards?

Like why do I see a lot of people offering to buy gift cards? Like what can you do with buying gift cards from people?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by criminal buying gc's. But people usually buy them if its cheaper so they can save some money on items.
