Why do Amazon hate their affiliates?

They are in the business of selling a million hearts, but not using one themselves, even their original ones.
Actually, I'm sure they don't care about small and upcoming affiliate sites that use their name (Amazon) in any other thing, good or bad, EXCEPT use it in the site disclaimer, and in the outbound link to their products. Once you begin sending them high converting traffic, they will turn a blind eye to any "small" violations. I guess, they want no other connection with your affiliate site.

Because Amazon doesn't need affiliates to sell their stuff, they can do that on their own just fine.

I hate them too... Once we get banned, we can't do anything to get our account back.

Amazon has ZERO NEED to work with affiliates as they focus on pricing out their competitors. So the pricing of their product will helps them to get sales with or without affiliates. Look at setting up your own ecommerce webshop to sell products from Amazon. Usually they are buyers due to the pricing (just mark up slightly for your profit). You can easily get away with 8%-10% markup. However do take note that Amazon changes pricing a lot of times per day. Do remember to update your pricing accordingly.

This exactly. I haven't had any problems with them myself though.
I know right, I lost over $10K USD.
I can feel your pain, it's about 100k for me and I don't even remember how many times they ban me,
they were very soft with their rules a few years back, I guess since they have too many affiliates they apply new restrictions, and you inevitably violates their tos if you use bh tools, so we do free work for them, sure it is our fault but this kind of company does not deserve it, for me they are crook because those commissions are not their revenue and they simply keep them

I have been with amazon for awhile and only got banned once for a silly mistake I made, i tried to let them see reasons, but they don't care.
Now I thread with cautions. I like the cool money I make with them every other month, so I don't f__k with them no more. I think they are better than adsense.

Never had problems with them. And I made like half a million dollars revenue for them in the last 5 years.
still I know they would flick the switch without looking at the sum and close the account...
Still they lower and lower the commission and I get less and less.
In the end, they are just the best to work with in my country. Other companies suck shit, change their deeplinks, offers and so on..
BUT, i Just use it white hat and lega. disclaimer everywhere, imprint, and blablabla..

I copied the amazon product + my aff. link + amz image and description to my website. This is done when you search for the product you want to link to. Then just copy everything that shows up to your page. It was silly of me. I got banned for "wrong linking to amazon"
