Why did my CTR drop so LOW??

So I had a niche site, I was ranking it on page two. For a while my rankings fluctuated but my impressions were roughly 15 a day and my CTR was like 15~20% stable. Like I would get 2 clicks 4 clicks 3 clicks etc. BUT NOW for some reason my impressions have jumped to like 60 a day. However the clicks are the same if not LESS than before.. Why is this happening? My CTR now is 0~3%

what is the average CTR, and do you think someone is trying to negative SEO my site? By artificially lowering CTR to lower my serps? Or do you think my headlines are just shit... but then why was it fine before?

Another thing is this data is from google webmasters, when I go to analytics, I still get 4-6 sessions per day which is the same as before. Just this change in webmaster tools. Any help appreciated

I would say from what I've read 20% CTR will get your website manually inspected when payday comes so make sure you're not doing anything AdSense won't like. For me over the past week average CTR has been between 1%-4% hope that helps

No, you're wrong. I've been with ads*ense for over 5 Years.. I Had CTR over 20% on some of my sites.
When they are legit, no need of worrying about it..

There might be a lot of factors for low CTR, Change your ad placements, Cross test it.. see which converts well for you..
from your post i believe your new to adsuense.. so explore more and do alot of research..

That was my point. Make sure your not doing anything they won't like and you'll be fine.

No guys im not talking about adsense CTR, im talking about Serach engine CTR. So like 35 people see my site link and 2% click it. Thats really low isn't it? Before it was like 15 impressions and 5 clicks.

ha ha ha after reading the post of Derago and Jamie i was also wondering why they are giving suggestion on AdSense when it is not mentioned anywhere in the thread even OP clearly said it is based on Webmaster so its clear he is talking about SE CTR.

Fedez : One of the reason for that could be you are ranking at the bottom position for that keyword in another country or city so its giving you impression but nobody is clicking it, Webmaster ranking is average of every country position.

This is based on probabilities and possibilities. And CTR is really unpredictable. U can't expect the CTR and CPC for any day.
Ranks are really important and i think u should focus on rankings and link building. Once you ranked on first page, you would not be in worry of anything.

There are many factors that can negatively affect your CTR in the SERPs including, but not limited to:

• Generic/Unattractive headlines
• New competitors in the SERPs
• A change in user behaviour (not all users are the same, so not all of them will click the same link)
• Your rankings dropping

If you haven't done so already, I suggest searching your keywords to see if there has been an introduction of a new competitor recently.
