Why did Facebook hit me with phone verification?

I bought a proxy, cleared everything on my computer, and only used that proxy for one Facebook account. I was extremely careful with it but I logged in yesterday and I got hit with the required phone verification. I did my best to make the profile appear legit and there was no nudity. Uploaded a few photos. Joined some groups, exc. I wasn't spamming or even doing anything like that.

The only thing I can think of is that I was getting 50-75 friend requests per day. Will accepting a large number of friend requests each day trigger the phone verification from Facebook?

If I had numerous numbers to do the verification that would be an option.
 
Oops could have worded it better. I have multiple Facebook accounts but on this particular account they asked for verification even though there's only 1 account on that IP/proxy so I'm wondering what triggered it. I don't have a phone # to verify this account.
 
Sometime they ask for phone verification on newly created account.
It doesn't matter it there's something wrong with the account or not.This how facebook verifies identity of facebook profiles.
 
If you accept or send too many friends request in a very short time FB will force you to verify the account.
 
Sometimes Facebook requests verification for no reason. Some of our new accounts have not been used, and request verification already come. Therefore, when we register block of new accounts we assume in advance that 10% of them will be blocked for no apparent reason.
Perhaps your account was in this 10%.
Ask your friend to verify this account, or buy a SIM card. It is cheap.

I'm in the USA & have T-mobile. What's the cheapest route to go w/ a sim? I have an unlocked Nexus 4. Is my best bet to go to T-mobile sign up for the $3/day plan and just cancel it after the phone verification?
 
Also once an account phone verified are you pretty much good to go 'for life' except for spamming? Is phone re-verification ever asked for?

Would you still limit the number of friend requests sent/accepted per day? How many per day?
 
folks still buying sim cards, that's odd. I won't give the method away, but you don't need a sim card, let alone spend a penny to pva any facebook account. Max time is little over a minute for the whole process.

You will get phone verification again without fail. If you leave the existing number in the account they will just send a text to it and you can't log in at all until you get the code from that number. I always delete the number if you don't have a real sim card. Anything to do with posting links and requesting friends has a higher rate of getting asked for re-verification or photo verification.

You can get PVA codes from bhw member for likes 0.5$ or 1$ with reverification.
Why don't you try that.
 
facebook are very suspicious.. if you don't want to verify through phone.. then don't add friends..
they get a lot of spam everyday by people like us.. That is why they are this suspicious..
 
It could also be that you logged in from multiple ip addresses so it thinks someone is trying to hack your account
 
If you have multiple fb accounts and try to login using different username/password, it'll flag you. It happened to me cause I used the same computer and ip address.
 
I did a solution to deal with the Phone verification, that it myght just be on your concern..
So, i got the email from the Marting responsable with a major Phone Network, and cause i got a friend that work in a summer camp, i said that we would like to take away kids phones, and give to then a new number, to use just in the camp, so they wont spend all day on facebook and all those things... They loved the ideia, and i got a box with 300 sim cards, and some more gifts, after the summer camp, i just sent some photos to then, that i got out of facebook.

Problem solved :)

The only real problem is that all the sim cards, got an pre-activation of 3 months, so, you need to hurry up doing some FB phone activations

fb can even asks for phone verification after 3 month if you keep spamming.
They do re verifications many times.
