Why design this type of website?

I am seeing a lot of these types of website, where I do not think they are niche specific, and they also cover a few enterainments news and sometimes when i click on those title link that says "Some actress embrassing moments" kind of stuffs, and they direct to CPA. I have attached one screenshot of such website.

What category do these websites fall into? I think their ranking is quite good, because whenever I search for some technical stuff (e.g. 3d printed stuff), bound to encounter them.

Its called cloaking, you see something you are interested in you click the link and you are redirected to a different page, But i hardly think there are people still doing it, What i do right now is redirect them to content + a pop up link to the advertisement itself, So they keep visiting again.,

i think they make them like this because it is so easy to fill the site with content using the latest celebrity gossip etc. If you are thinking of building one I think Terminal15's idea is good so that you can retain traffic.

You sure it not a multi niche website with a broad domain name .

Dont look wrong to me just a normal website trying to cash in on multipule niches .

One page seo is good seo , but if there doing it write way, i think they got multipule pbn hidden all on diffrent servers pushing seo postion

Good way to earn cash from one domain but if google see it as a afflicate website it will get ban

But if the content good and informative can be in a grey area and not classed as a black hat area will not get ban....

Yes , Right Actually google seen this kind of site like spammy, So its instantly banned in google.

I think it's a general niche. ie., not a specific niche and not focused on specific one. Because the CEO may think that this general niche has impacted more traffic because of more articles with the different niche related. So this is a way to earn easy money.

Another one that I think is he/she (the CEO) wants to update the blog with recent news that the viewers want to search.
