Today i try to purchase a .cm domain, but prices are extremely high for one year like $109.
Why these domain price are such a high price??

That article is extremely outdated. Kevin Ham made a mint from inking a deal with the dot cm registry and at one time had a tonne of dot cm names. He dropped most (all?) of them awhile ago.
dot cm is not a scam, it's just a ccTLD that can charge whatever they want. Just look at what the German or Brasilian ccTLD's cost. Is that "fair"? Well, registries and registrars can be pretty BH....
In the case of dot cm, because of the high propensity for typos of dot com, they charge a pretty penny. Oh and in December of last year dot cm was listed as a prime bad neighbourhood TLD for malware sites, so is it worth it?

I read article saying that .cm is just bs... you cant expect much visitors from it if any at all...

typo domain, a canadian guy made millions by registering a lot of typo domains and redirecting traffic

It's expensive because it's an African (Cameroon) registrar.
My advice is that it's not worth it... you don't get as much typo traffic as you think unless the domain matches an alexa top 100 site. Check out sedo and look at some of the traffic from typo .cm domains.

I can tell you that I own an Alexa 100 site but for a .CO rather than .CM. I average around 150 UVs per day. Not amazing, but still enough to pay for my meals each day.
I currently redirect the site on to the real .com and take an affiliate commission off the top. Conversion is VERY poor but that probably has something to do with the industry. It's converting at around .03%
I was thinking of other ways to monetize the site. Adsense, etc... Anybody have any tried ideas they'd like to share?
