The only certainty is uncertainty. 65% of students entering primary school today will end up working jobs that don’t exist yet. To enable students to realize the American dream, school should prepare students for the world of the future in ways our incumbent school system isn’t made for. Today’s school system was built for the industrial revolution, not the digital revolution.

The American system was invented to raise compliant workers for the dominant industries of the 20th century where most jobs demanded compliance and obedience. Standardization was the goal. A century later, we still depend on archaic tools for performance measurement — standardized and multiple choice tests. The system trains widespread conformity instead of individual creativity.

Completely agreed. It's not just in America though. This matter is huge in 3rd world countries and developing countries. Some governments ensure that the school terms and highly competitive to make sure that students are getting failed so that they there will not be educated employees.

Why wouldn’t the government want educated employees when its sole existence is based on a well educated working population? I understand it’s trendy to hate on the government but show some facts or you’re talking out of your arse.

Check it out Sweden and Norway and all nordic European countries. These guys are living in the future.

On the other way, a country needs all types of people from doctors, laborers, entrepreneurs and all the other fields included uneducated people to be a healthy system, facts say, it`s sad, but make sense.

European Anglo-Saxonic countries really have something special in their education system.

I agree with you @Vigilante

Sitting the whole day in school or university for gaining zero knowledge !!
That's why you go to trade school and not university.

My best friend is 24 years old making 6-figures a year after a couple years of schooling. He was $90k+ a year at 22 years old with zero debt. He will tell you how easy it was. He's one of my few friends my age that can afford to run with me - no stress, lots of time off, paid vacations, bought a nice house, few cars and other toys... travels a bunch too. Everyone else is paying off useless uni debt working mediocre jobs.

Go learn how to weld and make $400/day doing fuck all with weekends off. A few years later, open your own company and hire a couple other welders so you can get to $1-2k a day. Offline business is a walk in the park anymore compared to IM - fellow local entrepreneurs and I are always shocked at the situation in this day and age.

You mean to say now is a better time to get into offline business or what by the above statement?

It's even worse in third world countries. They're simply wasting 15 years and gain zero knowledge.

Everyday I am thankful for being an IMer.
To be honest, I was brought up in non-financially stable family. But I work off my ass daily to have a life through digital marketing and now I'm able to travel to secure my scholarship (95% tuition fee waiver) in an Indian IIT. Awesome for me? Yes.

I am a digital nomad just passing time here for my MSc degree in an India IIT while making money off cloud at the same time. No one cares how I am able to sustain myself, daily upkeep and all.

You know what I care about as a d nomad? Networking with people in a different place.
IM forever! Independence forever!

If you are talking about primary and secondary school in 3rd world countries , CIS counties is more like a prison or slave programming factories )
You are programmed to be obedient and be afraid of authorities and hella cr**p thinking. Mostly degenerate kind of people are becoming teachers , (hysteric middle aged or old women) sadistic , life loser males who often do sidejobs like selling potatoes or hair cutters on the streets .)

Well, I generalize school to all academic institutions in all levels. Not only for babies and teenagers.

If you're in the USA or another country similar, yup. They are in the middle of the largest shortage of skill labour we've ever experienced. Meanwhile IM is flooded with people looking to make an easy buck.

Probably the quality of the teachers - go to school for 18 years, go to university for 5, go back to school to teach - probably social condition to follow and give rules at that point.

My school life was best lol, got beaten by almost every teacher :D Even got punched in the stomach by a teacher for threatening him. I am not joking.

At least he gave you a justifiable reason.

I used to bad mouth the teachers being a back bencher lol

I really screwed up while at school but wouldn't have found my BHW for being attentive
