I tried to register an account but i can't. It keeps showing "Please check your internet connection and try again"
Is Telegram ban Vietnam or something?

Telegram is blocked in Vietnam due to illegal content concerns and lack of cooperation with authorities. VPN required to access.

It isn't accessible to some countries, try use vpn or search on youtube for telegram proxies, I'll stay forver without interupting on whole mobile usage like vpn

You should change the ‘Region’ option in the general settings of your iOS or Android device, then register using a different number with a VPN.

That “check your internet connection” message usually means Telegram’s servers can’t talk to your app—often because of network blocks rather than any account issue. Vietnam does occasionally throttle Telegram traffic, but it’s more likely your ISP or mobile provider is simply filtering out their IP ranges.
The easiest fix is to switch your connection to a proxy or VPN that supports Telegram’s MTProto protocol. In the app’s Settings → Data and Storage → Proxy, add an MTProto proxy (you can find lists of public ones online, or get a paid MTProto endpoint for more reliability). If you prefer a VPN, pick one with residential or mobile IPs, connect to a nearby region (like Singapore), and then retry registration over that tunnel.
If you’re on mobile data, try toggling Airplane Mode on/off or switching from 4G to 5G (or vice versa)—sometimes a quick network reset helps. And if you have access to a different Wi-Fi network (coffee shop, friend’s place), give that a test too. Once you get past that connection error, registration should complete normally. Good luck!

Hello
Use a Proxy (Alternative to VPN):
Telegram supports built-in proxy settings, including MTProto proxies, which are specifically designed for Telegram. You can find reliable proxy services like ProxyEmpire, Smartproxy, or Oxylabs.dicloak.com. Steps to set up a proxy in Telegram:
  1. Open Telegram, go to Settings > Data and Storage > Proxy Settings.
  2. Add a proxy (e.g., SOCKS5 or MTProto) using server details from a trusted provider.
  3. Test the connection and try registering again.
