Why Can't I Post Pictures?

Not sure where else to post this.

Whenever I try to add an image to my post, it doesn't work.

This is what I do:
  1. Upload image to Imgur or other image hosting
  2. Copy the link
  3. Click the little "Add Image" button
  4. Paste my link in and add .jpg on the end
But it always just comes up with a little symbol of a broken image.

Even if I try to type in manually with the tags it doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong?

Once you upload the image, you get directed to the page with the image on it but the url of that page is not the one to use.

If you hover over or click on the image itself on imgur you’ll see another url associated with the image rather than the page you see with the image on it straight after upload.

Add .jpg to that url and follow the rest of your procedure and it will work.
