Why Can Some Subreddits Posts Rank on Google While Others Don't?

Wondering what the main elements are that go into a subreddit being able to rank on Google for medium competition terms.

I have only just started playing around with Reddit so I'm very much a newbie on this social platform.

I imagine some factors include the following, but not sure?

1. Side of the Subreddit
2. Activity of the Subreddit
3. Optimised Titles for the Reddit Post
4. Comments replying with keywords and phrases related.
and 5. Possibly building links to the post?

Am I close with these or am I just talking nonsense?! Don't hold back. Any input greatly appreciated.

You’re pretty much on the right track! Subreddit size and activity definitely help with ranking, as does having optimized post titles and relevant comments. Building links to the post can also give it a boost. Another key factor is the authority of the subreddit itself, some subs are naturally favored by Google due to their reputation and traffic

Don't forget a lot of subs aren't indexed by Google at all. I don't think any NSFW subs appear in Google SERPs.

From my experience these two play a role but for me it was posts in the subdreddit that ranked not the main page of the sub reddits. Size didn't matter for mine. I grew a zero member sub to a little over a thousand by targeting specific keywords.

For activities, I used to send some upvotes and in less than a day they're already ranking on the first page.

They do, or they did when I managed some subs. My subs were NSFW subs. They were marked as such but the posts with written with optimized keywords in post titles and body.

I've seen posts from people's Reddit profile ranking on Google. So, it's not necessary that a post needs to be published in a subreddit for it to rank in SERPs.
