Why BlackhatWorld won't update the theme

That is what happens to white themers sooner or later, hmm.

We're always on the lookout for ways to make things easier and more streamlined. But as far as the actual template goes, there's a lot of work that goes into it and I personally rather see the resources needed dumped into other things. Like.... MP2.
