Why Bing is not poular in US ?

Google is a bitch and any one can fuck it.

I have a PTSD like feeling everything I use the computers at uni at Bing comes up. I Bing for Google and then do my search.

Bing is popular somewhere else?

Normal, usefull results

Google is usually:
- local results on most keyword, you can't get rid of it
- 50% or more websites penaltied for "innatural link"
- Ads over 70% of screen you see
- Yelp x 5 ?? Yelp, Yellopages, Wikipedia, Amazon, Ebay everywhere

How can Google even be called a search engine? It's ads search engine + sites hiding engine. Reults simply sucks. I switched to bing like month ago and since then I'm not going back to Google when I search for sth commercial.

Are people that blind, or they just don't know there are much better search engines like Bing and DuckDuckGo. What do you think ?

buddy till date there has been no search engine as good as google so it stays on the top!!! The day some one offers same services it will have a bleak future....

Honestly Bing is unpopular in every country on this planet.
Perhaps he has been successful only in Antarctica

I don't think they even know about search engines. Google has succeeded in engraving their brand into people's minds.

Especially the younger generation. Most people who use Bing probably think it is Google with a different theme or skin...

I use both Bing and Google. I decided to diversify away from Google because I was using too many of their apps. I had a major privacy concern with Google Drive not from a hacker, but from Google employees that really compromised trust.

I find it hard to believe that Bing and Yahoo will ever put too much of a dent into Google's dominance because their parent companies have proven that they lack imagination, vision, and innovation. Maybe one of them will surprise me and start building some momentum.

Google is the dominant search engine and has the majority of all searches, but Bing is growing, the more time that progresses the better each search engine gets. For some searches Bing is actually better, as you have already found as Google has recently got rather heavy on the ads, but overall Google sites provide more relevant searches.

Bing is awesome! I get tonnes of traffic from Bing.... Said no person ever.

First, the expression "just google it!"

Imagine if they rename bing -> bang..

I totally agree. It's not people that love Google. It's Google's strategy that made them to be where they are. We can teach people what they like or dislike by applying the right strategies.

There are 2 reasons why they are not as popular as Google:
1) These companies don't use Google's marketing and sales strategies containing two things:
a) attracting SEOs which generate free marketing for Google. See Matt Cuts videos. They all are not just for educating marketers and SEOs. There is a reason he started to spreading tech videos since he became employed at Google company.

b) They are not using contractors like me.

2) They don't create as much free tools as Google. ( this is a lucrative marketing and sales strategy) People love to use free stuff. Google give them to them. First they make you to become addicted to the tool, then they sell it to you. This is how they generate income.

It all comes down to the right marketing and sales strategy. If they do exactly as Google does, they will outrank Google.
They buy retired companies with potential, then make them popular.
This is how they make themselves popular.

You are totally right. Google is useless and if i told you what i have discovered you will never use Google search engine.
