Aren't they effected by link spam?

For example if I go on reddit and I post a link which leads to a big website like amazon or another one which make sales, or are they affected by low link tiers?

When a website bigame ''too legit'' in the Google's algoritm to not be effected anymore by link junk/spam links?

I think so. The higher domain trust and authority, the lower effect by junk links...

They can be affected, but it's typically only when they are doing something themselves. Years ago I remember BMW and JCPenny were both penalized, but it was because of buying links, cloaking pages and stuff like that, purposeful events.

A site can certainly get big enough that Google expects spammy links and doesn't penalize them.

Agree with @BHopkins, there is a certain level of authority which once you reached no matter how hard you try link spam won't effect you. Just like you said keep building spam links to gaints and it will have zero impact.

only manual reviews for bad practices can take large sites down.
