Why authority sites piss on google sandbox ?

Most of you who do SEO for a living will probably know the "google sandbox" effect, and how much long it takes for you to see the effect of a PBN link. What I've noticed is that when an "authority site" gets a PBN backlink it tends to skip the sandbox and just shoot straight on top of SERPs.

Have you noticed that some of your sites skips this "sandbox" ? What are the factors, stats and generally things, that those sites that can skip sandbox have ?

umm actually, the Google sandbox is a myth perpetuated by low rent SEOs who fail at their job. They just tell customers they are sandboxed, but there is no Google sandbox.

I've stated in my post, that I'm looking for an answer from people who does SEO for a living, not WF dwellers.

If you get enough backlinks (strong links) to your site, google will perceive the site as an 'authority' site and you may get out of it. Usually the sandbox is for new sites with few strong backlinks

That is a good way of getting out of sandbox actually just cleaning the site rep as it were and building authority. Something that should be done regardless.

be more specific.

do you mean 1st page? or top 100? there is a big difference.

long tails with little search volume i have seen rank pretty quick.

i haven't seen anything rank 1st page that has high search volume.

To be more specific anything higher than 700-1000 per month...

New sites can't rank within a week, at least in the XX.XXX to XXX.XXX exact searches a month range you can really forget about this theory. Takes more like at least 6 months, sometimes longer, if we are talking about solid page 1 positions. Especially for keyword domains and the main keyword(s).

Trying to speed up this process only ruins the whole thing. The only exception, from my experience, are new subpages on aged and established sites (wow, news!) and repurposed expired domains with an already strong and aged backlink profile.

Ok, one more exception: If you have a site on a trending really new topic, even if it's very high search volume, and you are competing with a bunch of news articles in popular magazines, there doesn't seem to be a sandbox. So, the sandbox or however you want to call this mechanism, seems to depend on the age of the content (not sites or domains) of your competitors, too.

I couldn't have said it better. OP you want the truth from people that do SEO for a living? That is it, like it or not. Just because you fucked up and you can't rank and think Google has placed you in a "magical" sandbox, it does not mean it exists for real.

I think we shouldn't stick to the name "sandbox" too much. It's also a fact that there is some kind of ranking delay, sometimes months, for new sites on new domains in competitive niches with established players, no matter how much great content you have.

Ok, an exceptions could be really hyped startups that gets bombed with authority links from the mainstream media.

Or to write that into plain English shit SEO = no rank, Good SEO = Rank. But as Archon10 said, people shit at SEO use the Sandbox as a very poor excuse. Believe it or not, it is very possible to get a shit website on page one within days.

Show me one site ranking page one within days, at least 5 digits a month exact match search volume, on topics with real competition like dating, forex, cams, loans, popular health self help topics, diet and weight loss, gambling, insurance, popular legal services or similar. Hacked stuff doesn't count.

Those days every SEO expert on BHW seems to be making 4 figures per day ranking competitive terms while skipping "sandbox", good for them...

Yeah, I would love to see that too. But guess what, its never gonna happend, because its not possible. Anyone who build and rank websites knows you cant get nr 1 in a matter of Days. Simple as that.

Well if you churn and burn and continue the cycle, you can indeed have massive impact. Most businesses aren't looking for churn and burn sites, but this is bhw... Google actually gives you a boost in rank to collect data. Obviously, where you place depends on the competition and other factors.

For instance, hubpages is a known content farm that got hit by Panda. Their triage solution was to move writers to their own subdomain. They then announced to everyone that they had beat Panda because they had a major boost. They were premature in their announcement though and their SEOs should have known better. When you slam Google with major changes (including pummeling the index with new content), it will crawl quickly and frequently and you'll see a boost in traffic as it tries to collect data from what you've done. In about 3 months (it seems to be pretty consistently 3 months, but I suppose it could happen earlier), the site will fall back down to its appropriate rank. This is what happened to hubpages.

So, no, there is no sandbox. It's actually the opposite effect.

There will be people laughing at what you just wrote, because "You" can't do it, does not mean it is impossible.

Let me give you a little advice. Once the main update comes around, usually in October, once your website gets hit, 301 it to a new domain, and the new domain will take its old place in a matter of days.

You work on this and you will (probably not though) learn how to rank a site within days.

Oh by the way, I work in Gambling niche and Forex.

A little tip, stop looking for excuses and start looking for solutions. Google is a program and all programs can be gamed.
