Setup a small IFTTT wheel. You can buy a 10 IFTTT wheel for around $5 on Fiverr.

After the recent updates, indexing time have increased a lot. If you want to get your posts indexed on their own, then stop using fetch as google. In the starting, it will take some time but once Google establishes that you are putting lots of new content regularly, google bot will start visiting your site more frequently.

If it's unique content, it will get indexed on its own (except of course if your whole domain is deindexed). I suggest that once you post it, don't bother with it and starting building the next content, that way the delay in indexing won't bother you as much.
Long-term, once your site / blog picks up authority, indexing time gets faster so don't sweat it.

Great, thanks for the feedback. The content is 100% unique, my site is only a couple months new so I'll just give it time.

In the meantime though, what I've been noticing, is that my competitors' posts are being indexed immediately. Even though their content is pretty much garbage.. I can't wait to get to the point where my posts are indexed immediately!

I do this a lot!
Plus it gets some social shares that if you have a good following it helps out.

I wouldn t do that, one is enough. Just post more content, the more active your website is, the faster it will be picked up by crawlers. Most of my posts get indexed within a couple of days
Interesting.. I added a second sitemap because my posts were taking forever to get indexed and it actually worked, my posts were getting indexed much faster. Only problem now is that my serp positions dropped a few spots, so I decided to just delete my old sitemap and stick with the new one.
