Why are there so many newbie seller

today i opened two threads one in hire a freelancer and one in want to buy. Almost immediately i get likes from newbie accounts and dms offering me the service. Why does it happen since they are not allowed to do that and why are they not banned ?

Newbie members are not allowed to sell in BlackHat World.

Please report those members and the staff will take a look . Do not deal with non upgraded members.

there must be a network of someone doing this. everytime i open new thread i get messages from these guys and its always telegram link included

It happens because many sellers (sometimes bots) monitor those sections and instantly like or DM new threads to get clients. Mods can’t catch everyone right away, so they stay active until reported.

They are just trying to catch the new unguarded posters to HAF and WTB, who do not yet know how things are done around her. Little mods can do to save such except to pre-warn all posters in those sections against them..maybe a pop-up warning box or something.

Sometimes they slip through because moderation mainly reacts to reported cases. Best approach is usually to ignore unsolicited offers and wait for proven sellers with a solid track record.

In the near future, one of my projects is to create forms for HAF/WTB to try to improve the quality of submissions a bit. The advantage is there's a lot of places to put text plus it can auto send a DM upon submission. So it's our hope that we can get new users to at least read it and understand all the potential pitfalls.

Unfortunately, until there's a way to reach through the screen and slap people to make them listen, we're still needing them to actually read. But, it's more than we have now and maybe it'll save a few people from having to visit the Dispute Resolution section.

Actually, we don't just wait for things to be reported. The Community Team spends a lot of time going through the forum looking out for signs of trouble. Unfortunately, we can't be everywhere and this is an incredibly big and busy forum. We will eventually find problems, but we hope good folks like you will report things to help expedite it. The faster we can find problems, the faster we can deal with it and hopefully prevent scams, spams and other unwanted behaviour.
