yes Im pretty sure Im smarter than you are
No, everyone can have their own opinion and thoughts about everything. I think that it is worth having an intellectual factual discussion. But most people can not even think "a meter" (hope this is the right formulation in english). Also many people will not leave your opinion because "they are right" always. Then it makes no sense to discuss or even talk to them.Let me guess, someone disagreed with something you said?
It's true. Look at us now, wasting too much time again on the interwebz hihihi.Does anyone else have this experience with 80% of humans?
Or am I just too smart?
Reddit can be a bitch sometimes.Let me guess, someone disagreed with something you said?

Being emotional has some weight in making decisions. No, everyone can have their own opinion and thoughts about everything. I think that it is worth having an intellectual factual discussion. If I discuss with someone, I always try to be as open as possible and try not to get emotional.

That's a cool story, thanks for sharing. I guess your wife was right hereBeing emotional has some weight in making decisions.
Where I live, for example, when you are at a certain level of income, it makes no financial sense to buy a house.
I did all the calculations, and there's no doubt that they are correct.
Then, my wife comes and say 'I want us to buy a house'. I took the opportunity to show her how brilliant I am for figuring out a way for us to retire 10 years earlier. I was about to wrap everything up with a powerful conclusive sentence before she suddenly stopped me and said:
"That's nice, but I want to buy a house to raise our kids. I want them to have a memory of having a house they call home. When the day comes, I want our grandchildren to visit and call this house 'our grandparents' house'. I want to know that even if everything we build falls apart, we'll have our 4 walls to go back to."
We're buying a house, even though it makes no 'rational' sense because it makes sense in another way.
Yep, you are rightThere are many intelligent people out there, and you're just basing this on your own experience. It's a big world out there; try exploring it.
It depends on where you look at it from. If she and I wouldn't have agreed, the story would've been told very differently. That's a cool story, thanks for sharing. I guess your wife was right here
You are right, emotions have some weight in making decisions. But I still think if you discuss something they can lead you into making false statements or stubbornness.
