why are my views stuck?

That's standard procedure for YT,,,most vids get frozen around 300 views. I think it has something to do with verification to see if the views your vid is getting are real or not (I don't know how they verify). Your count should resume after about 24-48 hrs.

It has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the views. It's simply once your video gets enough views YouTube stops tracking it real time. There after your Views / Ratings will be updated periodically at least once a day. Also interesting the Views / Ratings are done on different update servers which is why you'll see videos with more ratings than views.
Actually you are wrong and right. YouTube allows you to bot/refresh your page for views until you reach 300. After that its all legit. You must earn 300 legit real views or buy them from a view provider on BHW, FIVERR, and other sites. Once you have earned 300 real views it will start counting again and your off!
