I’m currently running TikTok ads for a product, but the conversion rates are way lower than expected, even though the traffic is good. I’ve tried multiple creatives, but still no luck. Any ideas on why TikTok ads might have low conversions, even with a solid audience? Have any of you found ways to optimize TikTok ads for better performance or targeting? Would love to hear any successful campaigns you’ve run!

Try same creatives with tweaks on ig and Google display ads

If you have it good on Tiktok with low sales...you probably don't have buyers there

I've encountered this situation before; usually, views are high but traffic isn't quality, resulting in no sales. TikTok users often click out of curiosity, and if the video doesn't align with the user's insights or the landing page doesn't match, the conversion rate will be low. Try creating genuine review content, adding trust features like feedback/UGC, and ensure the video content and landing page match. This usually improves things significantly

One simple test that helped us before: keep the same ad but send 50% traffic to a very plain landing page (fast load, one CTA) and 50% to your current page. If the plain page wins, the bottleneck is post-click, not targeting.

Also check comments sentiment under the ad — sometimes the audience clicks but doesn’t trust the offer yet.

You are going to have to upload multiple versions of the same video and see which ones are getting more reach. From there; you can make adjustments and see what your viewers like.

Even with strong traffic, low conversion rates on TikTok ads typically stem from audience mismatches, unengaging creative content, or a poor landing page experience. Be sure to ensure that your target audience is precise rather than overly broad.

Low conversion on TikTok ads (despite good traffic) is usually due to:

  1. Wrong intent → creative attracts clicks, not buyers
  2. Landing page mismatch → doesn’t match the ad or lacks trust
  3. Weak offer → not compelling enough
  4. Wrong optimization → focusing on clicks, not purchases
  5. Pixel/data issues → not enough conversion data
Quick fixes:

  • Strong hook + call out target audience early
  • Match landing page to the ad exactly
  • Add reviews, UGC, guarantees
  • Optimize for Purchase
  • Test different angles (problem, testimonial, before/after)
Usually the issue is offer + landing page, not the traffic.

tik tok ads gives very low conversion rate for some products, whats your product?

Low conversion on TikTok ads usually means funnel problem, not traffic.
Main reasons:
  • Landing page doesn’t match the ad
  • Traffic is curious, not buying intent
  • No trust (reviews, UGC)
  • Too cold audience (no retargeting)
What works:
  • Use UGC-style ads (real people, problem → solution)
  • Fix landing page (fast, mobile, clear offer)
  • Retarget viewers + visitors
  • Optimize for conversions in TikTok Ads Manager

if traffic is hq but no cvr, check ur lander speed first. agency accs > personal for better reach. check ur pixel too

Creating useful content that your target audience really care, adding trust features like feedback comments to your video

I think you're having trouble with your selling price being higher than the market price. Please adjust your price.

it's really easy to detect bro, TikTok can bring traffic to you but to convince the audience to buy or click, it should be more attractive, try to create a hook and a promising scenario to impress audiences

i would first look into the disconnect between intent behind tiktok vs. ur offer rather than immediately blaming ur audience. the audience might find the video compelling but have no intention of buying at all! try experimenting with a more compeling offer, value proposition nd landing page that seems like a seamless extension from ur ad video.

good traffic with weak sales usually means the ad promise and landing page do not match. check hold rate click rate checkout starts and purchases before changing the targeting.

try using the same creatives with some small tweaks on instagram and google display ads.if the content is getting good engagement on tiktok but sales are still very low then maybe the audience there just is not the right fit for your product.

Check the landing page, offer, and tracking first—not just the audience. Try stronger CTAs, faster mobile load times, and creatives that match the ad’s message. Also test different audience/retargeting segments and give each test enough data before judging it.
