Why are my conversion rates so bad?

First off, let me say that I've been snooping around these forums for over the past year, just until now decided to make my first post...

I'm currently using youtube (10 videos atm- different niches) to gain traffic for my landing page where I have my ppd offer... I know this will be hard for someone to answer why my conversions are so poor because I am not going to show you one of my sites (for obvious reasons). But, they all look very legit and it's not the usual landing page with the download... I have my own twist to it which will only help with conversions guaranteed. I'm currently using gaming niches, with good traffic.
I use FileIce, getting around 200 clicks per day, but only about 10-15 leads (~5% conversion rates). Doesn't that sound a bit low to you?

It is because Fileice sucks.

Go with CPA, Optimize your own offers. Stop giving 20% of your earnings to someone who makes a damn landing page for you (a PPD site)

I remember recently the BHW member lana.richards claimed $150 per day from youtube + clickbank. She said she has over 400 quality videos, uses vagex to raise the viewcount and the youtube keyword tool to optimize her keywords.

5% conversion is not "low". 0% is low. Why not scale up your project? Make many more videos, and make 5% conversion become good money, eh?

Well that's what I'm planning to do...This is my first week into ppd and I'm making decent money (~$15/day), but I'd like to get up to around $50 or so per day.

Do you guys really thing CPA is much better than ppd? Is it only because you have the ability to optimize and change your offers?
