Why are .info so cheap?

Like artdeco said I always buy the .info when purchasing a .com its only $1 more and usually gets turned into a blog or review site a bout my .com

first is .com , .net , .org , and other then .info ... also this is a very good question i guess it has a lower priority or something like that (or is not required so much to purchase , it's more available)

True that.

My only point here is that -- ALL OTHER THINGS BEING EQUAL -- you can't tell me some one who knows their stuff can really say that one-year-registered .info will do as well as a ten-year-old and ten-year-registered .com on G (all other things on both sites being equal.) I can show you sites that I built back in the day for other people which still exist that blow the bigger and better optimized sites out of the water on G simply because the .com has been registered forever.

If any one can prove this wrong, I would love to see your evidence, 'cause I'd love to learn how to turn a cheapo $1.19 .info into a .com registered consistently since '98.

Why do you keep cpmparing a 10 yearold domain to a new less then 1 year old.info thats equal. Doesnt makes much sense. Comparing apple to ornages.

Now try to compare a 10 year old .info to a 10 year .com both being equal and weight and they will perform the same on the big G. Thats all we are saying
