Why are forums dying?

Yeah, I agree with you, because I can solve most of my problems and questions in the forums, and I've been seeing a lot of posts lately that I'm interested in.

I think many forums die because eventually there is no Financial Structure behind it.
Money is Key and here you got at least 2 ways for the Owners to make money.

Posts are absolute garbage.

Naive sellers trying to sell something to non-existent buyers...

Complete brothels.

Moderators quit and nobody replaces them.

Plenty of reasons forums can die.

If you found BlackHatWorld and decided to stay here, it's a success that you were able to separate it from the rest.

Many people here can speak proper English which shows there's some intellect involved into it.

You have to set strict rules and execute them consequently. Otherwise some disordered people will create what they create. Example? Reddit...
Quora? So much fake info! Instagram boosted photoshop photos are heaven compared to quora hell where you'll talk to Bill Gates and John Paul the 2nd (lol).
Quora is built in such a crazy way. The faker something is, the more popular it is!

When there were few people on Reddit you could find some value. Today? 1000 pages of scrolling to get one useful sentence.
When anyone can be a mod, who is a mod then? There are no mods on Reddit in conclusion.

There's a difference between a community with pro people that is moderated by pro people and a community created by amateurs for amateurs / kids.

Pro people are pro for a reason. They don't give up easily and they enforce strict standards.

If you let kids become mods without training, all you're doing is you're letting them develop some "ego" or "arrogance" in more concrete terms.
I think it might have been well planned by Reddit / FaceBook designers.

There are some "gang" like structures in facebook groups. It's that those people think that they control something when they're mods in facebook groups. lol

some of my favorite forums are also dead now... i think it's a general tendency of average IQ dropping constantly through the last few years... people prefer to spend time on instagram than read a book, i guess that's a "quick answer" on why forums die.

IQ fluctuates. Some days I'm 80. Some days I'm 90. Sometimes I'm 60. Never 100.

I guess it depends on the niche. But to me, one of the best answers are coming out of forums.
For example advanced mathematics. Its awful to go on stackoverflow for this.

Forums are not dying. Nowadays Google puts more emphasis on forums. You can see Q/A sites and forums everywhere in SERPs.

It's more the concept of Forums, years ago Forums were the only way to really have a large community, now this list is endless and Forums have so much to compete with, not to mention the deep wallets of some of the corps who own these platforms.

In my opinion, nothing compares to a forum. A forum feels like a local bar where you sit, chat, tell stories, and learn from others.

I can't get that feeling or knowledge from Reddit, social apps, or Quora. You don't know the person responding to you. Members in forums feel like real people, while on those apps, they seem like NPCs. You see them once and never again. I can't understand why forums are dying one by one. Nothing can truly replace them, but somehow, it did. What am I missing?

Bro, there are plenty of reasons
For example, a huge number of ddos attacks, lack of financial support for the forum, because hosting is not free)and of course legal problems. As you can see, there are plenty of them and we should be happy that bhv still continues to unite us all
