Why are 15+ second delays the norm?

A regular Instagram user does not take 15-20+ second pauses in between likes/follows. I don't see how it looks natural to be liking and following at that rate?

Maybe I can understand it for fresh accounts, to not trigger some auto-bot detection, but on aged accounts I can't understand it.

What does it change if your account is new or old? I mean, surely Instagram takes more precautions with new account, but other than that, I'm pretty sure all the accounts are equal on how many people they can follow. Try following with smaller delays on old accounts and you'll see that they'll block you. No matter how old your account is.

What do you consider small delays?

Better to use Good delays instead of getting banned.
Can I ask are you liking/Following specific users or scraping from hashtags then doing that??

and from where are you getting the proper hashtags.
Starting new in Instagram now.

are you sure about that it's not normal? everyday users usually check a person's account before they decide whether they want to follow it or not, 15-20 seconds is nothing to thoroughly check an account, they don't just follow out of the blue and they usually don't follow hundreds of ppl every day, liking can be more lenient though
if you use the 15-20 sec delay, you will follow around 200 ppl in an hour, now if you do this for hours and every day, how natural would that look in your opinion? even with lot more bigger delays you can follow more than enough ppl
i mean, sure, you can mix up the numbers, you can put shorter delays, but if you put ONLY short delays, that can be a problem, set a wider range for delays, mix up the tasks and don't run the bot 24/7, if you want to look as natural as possible

Before I even knew about FL/botting, on my personal account I would look up a tag, like/follow each photo that appeared as fast as possible manually, did that several times with no punishments, and I was very quick.

They have a smart algorithm, you know. This isn't written by one person, or based on 10 people's actions. They have millions of users to analyze how they react and what they do. So they have very smart algorithm how and when to block people, they know that people sometimes like several pictures very fast therefore they are aware that you are human.

But if you keep doing that over and over, multiple times per day, several days, you will probably get blocked as well.

I'm pretty they never spent any money on a department that specializes in how natural actions are. They probably just have certain limits and if you break them, they may or may not penalize your account. Please don't get too caught up in this.

@OP, those settings work good on some accounts while other accounts, you will get banned. It's all about testing.

If you want to play it safe then use conservative settings.

Personally, I change my delay settings every single day. Mines are set between 60-250.

It's probably best to make each day different in various ways. I wish there was a feature that would allow these changes to be made automatically. That way we can set up different throttle speeds per hour/min. That would make the actions look more natural IMO.
