Why Amazon affiliate dead

The Amazon affiliate program isn’t dead, but it’s definitely not as easy as it used to be. Commissions have dropped, Amazon’s rules are stricter, and AI-generated content often struggles to rank. Additionally, competition is intense, so basic review sites no longer suffice. To succeed now, you need smart SEO, unique content, and a well-targeted niche strategy. It still works — just not the lazy way.

That's a really interesting point you've raised, mrtemu. It feels like the affiliate landscape is constantly evolving, and keeping up can be a real challenge. I'd be curious to hear what specific hurdles you've been encountering and if others are experiencing similar shifts.

Amazon affiliate isn’t dead, but due to low commissions, short cookie duration, and Google’s SEO updates, it’s now much harder to earn from blogging alone. To succeed in 2025, you must combine video content, multi-platform promotion, and build a personal brand or email list for long-term affiliate growth.

Don't just rely on traffic from Google. Do marketing on YouTube, Pinterest, and TikTok. Try parasite SEO along with blogging. Many people are getting good results.
Pinterest doesn't work. Most of Pinterest visitors are females.
