Why Amazon affiliate dead

Traffic generation is becoming harder day by; it doesn't mean that the Amazon affiliate is dead.
You have to change your strategy for generating quality traffic.

Lot of reasons. Like Amazon itself reduced comissions.

Yea it's not as good as it used to be, with slashed commission rates and more competition but I don't call it a dead.
Numbers are your best friend in these situations. Below is a summary of Amazon’s annual net sales from 2020 to 2024:
2020: $386.06 B
2021: $469.82 B
2022: $513.98 B
2023: $574.79 B
2024: $637.96 B
As you can see there is not any decaling in Amazon's net's sales for the last 5 years which means there are more affiliate's commission paid for affiliates. So yes, affiliate marketing does feel harder in some ways and Amazon in particular can be “dead” if you’re relying on quick commissions. But if you look at it as niche content, real relationships, and a variety of affiliate partners, it's just increasing in both demand and profit.

Its because amazon want to pocket all the money in their pockets. First the slashed individual seller or small sellers by introducing amazon basics, whose sole purpose was to create copy product of whatever is working/being sold on amazon and have good margins. So yeah don't put too much trust on amazon, they are the worst.

Yes I agree with you. Since blog keywords are predators hand and commission is very very low, affliators feel discouraged to tank Jeff any more.

It might have become hard but you cannot call it dead. As long as amazon is there, people will buy on the site. You have just send quality visitors there and you can lot of money by doing that.

Yep, t’s getting harder. Amazon slashed commissions, competition is high, and SEO is tougher
But affiliate marketing isn’t dead, you need better content, niche focus, and traffic sources like social, email, or YouTube to succeed now.

I completely agree on "various issues" like increased competition, algorithm changes favoring authority sites, and user fatigue with obvious affiliate pushes. It forces us to be far more strategic, focusing on genuine value, deep content, and diversified traffic sources beyond just organic search. It's less about quick wins and more about building sustainable digital assets now
