Who said you could rank your niche only with PBN or guest posts?If someone say so probly there are PBN sellers or domain sellers.There are tons of free ways to build backlinks and rank. Specially read on tiered link building, web 2.0 and expired domains tutorials.
You should choose decent low competition niche, and you are ready to rock your niche.
Don't give up. Check black hat SEO and link building section.

If you asks like that you will never be able to succeed. Do your tests. I highly doubt you even choose right keywords to rank. If you do right you can even do that along without a single backlink. Yes, you heard it right it all depend on your niche and how tough your competition, kwds.
I still rank low to med along with gsa ser and web 2.0.
Just with single PBN links or mixed of.
How do you check your anchor ratios?
What do your think about your competitors do you really belive you can fight back with them ? Ofc with your resources. Once understand this you are good to fight.
GSA SER / Xrumer are just tools you can use it for ranking / de-ranking or spam to death. That's how you its going to use.

I think that my biggest problem is to target the keywords, I use Google keywords planner, SEMrush and Rank Tracker (SEO Power Suite) but I often get "no data" as I work in niche market. There are a lot of competitors but this is a very specific B2B market.
Some of you said that GSA is crap, I agree with that but only if you use it for your MS. I never use GSA to build link to my MS.
My network looks like that :
- MS
- PBN/Business Directories/Good .edu links/Guest Blogs
- Web 2.0 (tumblr, wordpress, etc.)
- GSA links (with 2 tiers): First tier are contextual links with spin articles and low velocity, second tier is ... crap

This seems to be pretty much the standart now for keyword domains. It was pretty amazing a couple of years ago when a keyword domain would actually rank 1st page (or even position) easily. Now you need to put in some more work but honestly before it wasnt even work.

GSA is not a crap. It's one of best software companies in german. If you are referring to (and yes you were) GSA search engine ranker even that you are wrong. Many users using it for Tier 1 / money site link building with right filters. With a knife, you can cut anything. It's just a tool.It depends with how you going to use it. Don't abuse. I myself using ser for t1 with high pa,da,pr targets. And picky engines.
I don't think anyone can help you when you mention
PBN links - we don;t know how quality it is, how stealth it is, how many out bound links have they got and how often
we don't know how web 2.0s places
we don;t know how tricky your GSA ser engines and etc.
Like above guys said it all depends on your selected niche. First, do some tests in your test sites and execute.
I would help you with more information but when you saying you did research with google keyword planner and semrush i feel you have not done it correctly. I am not sure but i highly doubt it.It may be made after reading title and all your posts
One thing i can say
GSA Search engine ranker can be used for any tier that's how you are going to use
WEB 2.0 helps with rank but again that how you going to use
PBN can hurt or outrank the competition or de indexed your entire site
Tools are just for automate.Don't expect any magic there.

Why not to practice with para site instead new domain ?
Ex . Create a fb fan page for low / medium competition niche and try to rank with search engine ranker ? May be follow your startergy but to fan page at least you won't get penalized any soon ? and cheapest solution ?
That's how i test most of my projects before execute. Later on you can redirect traffic to your MS.

If you think & believe you are a dumb in SEO, then you are, indeed. I'd say never give up. It seems to be lack of self-confidence. I do think lack of self-confidence often comes from when you are not knowing and learning anything so well and we could say it's a "fear of failure". You can learn anything so well when you love it. I hope you are loving the field. If you don't, then it's time to let it go. So, take decision wise.

This could totally be off point, but I get the feeling youre focusing on too big a pyramid. It's fractal in nature. With your 3 tier approach you're trying to rank 10 sites when you admit you can't rank 1 (and also charge money for this but that's another issue entirely). I say focus small. Rank just a money, building the site up. Using proper link building. Get that site ranking in a niche, rather than specific keywords goal should be impressions in the GWT. Once you get that skillset learn how to write articles that convert people and hit the keyword searches youre targetting.
Once you get all this handled you can make proper T1s following the same rules, then you'll have a multitier network that actually grows in power and looks better and better to google than one that you're worried about google finding out about and deindexing.

give up on seo for a while .
you got to remember your a internet marketer seo is only a little part of internet marketing.
try a different style , no one needs to follow the jones.
there thousands of way to earn online not only seo.
have a break look at other methods you be less upset and angry at your self
