Why Am I Not Making Any Sales?

I found a product on clickbank, which looks very good, because it doesn't have a lot of rebills (last time I checked, there was none) , it's first in popularity for its category, and the grav is over 200

Thing is, I found a way to have people immediately come to the original landing page (my affiliate page for that product), for a pretty low cost per click. And the clicks are highly targeted!

So, I do get a few visits to my affiliate page every day from people who should definitely be very interested... But I am not making any sales.

Why is that? Is there some kind of minimum clicks you have to get before you actually make a sale? Problem is, my total CPC is already more than the commission I would get out of one sale. Or, is this normal? Is this the big guess you have to make when you use PPC ? Am I panicking too much for nothing?

Please, can someone advice me on this?

Maybe you should change your landing page from your CB affiliate page to a simple optin page where the visitor can get something free (like a report, ebook, etc on the product) in exchange for their email address.

Many people will not simply buy on the first time around. Dude, that's life. However, you should collect their email addresses and names because unless you have a billion dollars to burn on PPC...

...your well will run dry.

Now, when you don't have any money to allocate for a PPC campaign, you can send your subscribers a friendly email.

It could be a variety of reasons. Firstly is your landing page optimised for the sale? do you explain the features and benefits of the product? Remember online sales pages really need to concentrate more on the benefits of the product so the customer can see 'whats in it for them'. It could be something as simple as a tweak or extra few sentances or new images/layout etc.

Have you sent over 200 customers through adwords to your site yet? as a good conversion rate for most aff products is 200 visits per sale. But do not fret and worry because your ROI is low atm doesnt mean that if you continue with what you are doing that your return becomes greater than initial investment. Keep at what you are doing and follow your reports it should help show correlations between investment and interest. Use Google Analytics to see bounce rate etc.

Most importantly is your Ad campaign actually targetted properly and optimised to its full potential? run multiple ad groups with 2 ads per group, tweak the ads and follow the stats to see which ones are working best. Get an adwords training video and follow the tips on there. You can slip bits of code into the titles off your ads to really target the people you want to visit your site. There is a reason PPC comapnies exist and that is because there are experts in the PPC field and their ads reach a broader more relevant audience. Try learn more about adwords advertising and then you should see a better ROI.

The email optin page is indeed a very good idea, and I must say that I have thought about it. But, I don't have anything to give for free in this particular field. Also, the place where I have my ad is very very strict about these things. I'm not really allowed to do that, unless the landing page complies to very strict rules.

As for the landing page, I am using directly the original author's landing page (my affiliate page). This page is already highly conversing, as I can see in CB's stats. So, I guess there's nothing wrong with that.
The traffic is extremely targeted as well. (did a quantcast research, and used that data to target the ad)

You say I need 200 clicks to see results? But, then there's no point, because if I get to that amount of clicks, the total cost would be around 90$ , and the profit for one sale is only 19$ !
I don't get it. How can anyone make a decent profit with PPC , with this in mind?

Find cheaper keywords and create a better landing page. Or choose a different product.

$90 ppc = 200 visitors to optin page=??% email signups=?? people to send email offers to (check affiliate pages they have emails to help)= ?? Sales

I don't quite understand this last post. But anyway, like I said before, I have to use the original landing page in this case, because
1. I don't have a valid reason to take the email address from the visitor (nothing to give away,...)
2. The place where I put the ad has very strict rules about the landing page used
3. The original landing page is already extremely highly converting, as seen on CB.

I have just made a sale, after 42 clicks. So, I guess I'll just wait and see what comes next. This one sale has almost covered my cost for the 42 clicks.
I'll see the result after 200 clicks, like keir1984 mentioned before.

try to attract your visitor by your landing page and original content. That's the main keyword

I was just giving the formula to optin pages; i always think its best to send to your own splash page when doing PPC; optin emails can bring more revenue from other CB products.

Yeah, I see what you mean.
I'll see what I can do to get around the rules, and get people to land on an optin page. There must be a way to do that.

It all sounds a bit confusing to me, for this reason :

Why would anyone bother to build his own landing page, if there is already a very professional, well converting landing page made by the owner of the product?

Ok, I'd understand that you would make a landing page with an email optin. I understand the use of that. But, wouldn't you risk this way to create a page that is much less attractive than the original landing page from the owner? Because of this, people will be much more likely to NOT leave their email addresses, so you will not be able to email them afterwards. And then you even haven't had the chance to send them to the well converting landing page either. So, you'd lose the potential customer forever.

I have to really think a lot about this issue, and see how my current campaign ends up doing. Because, right now, I really think that PPC is not worth it.

It also depends on what program you are using for PPC. is it Google Adwords or 7search? or something else. Tell me which one as I have been through all of the PPC and I have my top 3. Try to setup a simple landing page with a good 300-500 word article with the links and images to the product.

Which PPC company are you using?

I'm in the same boat. Clickbank is dying out fast I think. That's why I don't bother with it much. Instead, I sell MRR products to my list cheap and make a killing. Much easier to get conversions thgan messing with $47 Clickbank products. People just don't have the extra money like they once did.

If I put a price in the ad, wouldn't that filter out all the clicks of people who are not looking to buy anything?

Title: Best guide for ******
Ad: Buy this great guide about ****** for only 37$

What about that?
I know I will get fewer clicks. But, I rather get just a few clicks and make a few sales, than get many clicks and make no sale at all...

As someone already mentioned, looks like you're gonna have to bite the bullet on this one and throw up a splash page or do a review page. At the very least, your traffic will not be a total waste when your visitors don't convert to a sale.
