I'm looking at the analytics that ClickBank provides and I'm seeing 38 order form impressions but 0 sales. Are people dropping off of the order form or am I not understanding what Order Form Impression Count is?

Total:
Hop count: 828
Hops per order form impression: 21
Order form impression count: 38
Everything else: 0

What do these numbers mean? Should I have sales or not?

38 people made it to the form but then closed it. So they either do not like some text that is on that form(ie rebill terms, etc.) or they don't like the price.

you know what, I just realized I have a button that says "Download eBook now" which is maybe what they are clicking on. It doesn't have the price on it. That could be the issue. They click it, then see the price, then say F- it. I'll setup some tracking to see if that's the case.

Theres a ton of reasons. You got to give us some more info bro

Sometimes people just click the order button. But they don't actually buy.

Ghost traffic. Bots or uncommercial traffic.

Sure, what else do you need? I figured if they were hitting the order form, they were ready to buy.
We need info such as your traffic, landing page, niche, etc.

It's really tough to say why you're not getting sales because it can be endless factors.

Your niche could be oversaturated, or your landing page sucks, or poor quality traffic, or you just need a bigger sample size. Any additional info you can provide can help members out and give you better quality feedback

Yes 38 order form impressions is quite a bit to not see any sales. Over what period of time are we talking? 1 day? 1 week? 1 month? I think it's important to tell us these things because if all of those impressions were from the same day then something is definitely wrong.

Date range is from 1/29/2015 until today.

All the details about the product/niche, along with all I've done so far can be found in this thread: blackhat-seo/my-journey-discussions/736272-journey-selling-my-ebook.html (sorry, cannot post links yet)

It's possible my product/sales page sucks, but why then would they go to the order form?

I don't know what your products gravity is but I can tell you for sure that gravity means everything the higher the gravity the better your conversions will be with the right traffic of course. My guess would be they just don't trust the sales page.

Are you direct linking or using a presales page?

Using a landing page usually works better with CB offers.

Gravity is just an indication of how many affiliates have sold the product in the previous 12 weeks - just because a product has high gravity, it does not mean that it converts well. I know of one extremely high gravity product that only converts 1 in every 250+ hops into an order, while another product in the same niche I sell to with the same traffic source that has a much lower grav, converts 1 in 30. The refund rate of the higher gravity product is also WAY higher than the low gravity product.

Also, high gravity does not = high sales. It is quite common for a product with a gravity between 20-50 to be selling MORE copies per day than a product with a gravity of 200.

Basically, all you are guaranteed to get with a high gravity product, is high competition from other affiliates when trying to sell it.

I always thought that high gravity meant high sales but I've never fully tested it to see if it were true, guess i've just been pretty lucky to have made money from high gravity products, there was one product in particular that was near the highest gravity on clickbank and it converted like there was no tomorrow but its not available anymore unfortunately. Im just saying what I've experienced but I'm sure you are right about what you're saying because it seems like you know exactly what you're talking about.
