    Hello BHW Members,

Since last several days, i had been targeting several high pr profile web 2.0 websites for profile links I had placed profile link of my websites into the profile pages which are atleast over pr5 to pr8, and also I had hired 100 directory submission. I have submitted link to profiles and links to several edu websites and also a few gov links. I had also been targetting keyword specific blogs through several websites with high traffic blogs, i have placed comments on those also. I had been doing this manually since last 1 month. WTF, I am still not having a single backlink in yahoo explorer and google. WTF is going on ! My website is indexed properly, there is no problem about that, but what about my efforts since last 1 month, atleast atleast 4-5 links would have got indexed ! Room please comment.

only reason that i can give you is that it takes times for the SE to crawl the websites. so as soon as the crawl them they will see you link,
but this doesnt mean that it will show up in site explorer or google

for one of my sites i have over 20k links
site explorer shows about 7k and google shows about 1

my rankings are fine so i really dont worry about it

I really admire your patience, but how do you know that you have 20k links. is there any way to find it out that you have so many links there already ! So that I will atleast find out where my links are ! Thank you.

Google and Yahoo do not show up to date or accurate backlinks. Backlinks don't make you money, rankings do. Focus on the tangible and accurate instead of the sublime and vague.

ok. I admit but @masteraffmarket, he has 20k links, is there any way to know how much link he really has, so that I can atleast find it out. I don't care about defollow links.

they are never all shared. BUT you should worry if you're not seeing results, numbers aren't that relevant in Y! site explorer anyways if you're going up in SERPs

I agree with everyone else, SERPS is more important than backlinks - if you are #1 in SERPS but are only showing 1 backlink then who cares - as long as you are always #1 ;)

Getting your links indexed is a full time job. Placing links is the easy part. Getting them indexed is a total bitch. I spend 80% of my time getting my links indexed and devising all kinds of ways (testing) to find a solution that works over and over. Iv yet to find one.

    1. Directory Submissions are not approved rightaway, they take ages
    2. Even if the Directory Submissions are approved instantly, your link's page is an internal page which may not be indexed
    3. Profile links, like directory links, are a BITCH to get indexed. Just because you have built the link, it doesn't mean it will ever count. Haha! If only, if only it were that easy!! RSS submission, bookmarking RSS feed etc. as suggested once by Yukinari is old and no longer works. The best method is making blogs to which you auto post using RSS xmls from ezinearticles and then put a few of your profile links at the end of it. Then get these blogs, backlink them like hell, bookmark them and you will see your profile links indexed. Conveniently, Backlink Energizer does just this.

So, your problem here is INDEXING.

It's like the underpants gnomes in south park, their plan is:

    1. Create links
    2. ????
    3. High Rankings

Guess what no 2. is? You are dam right. INDEXING. Now get to it BICH!!!

here is my take on forcing google to index my links.

    I DONT.

The way i see it google crawls the pages it thinks are more important on
a regular basis, and pages it thinks are less important more infrequently

when they crawl those site with your newly found links that link counts toward
your ranking. Now when you ping and force google to find your link, I believe that
this is unnatural and the google bots will see something wrong when they are
crawling a site that isnt scheduled to be crawled for another 2 weeks.

Thats when they can start to get iffy about your backlinks.

Also since those pages get crawled at a lessor rate the links on them
wont be worth shit anyway because the pages arent worth shit if they
    dont usually get crawled.

And i know that i have over 20k links because i personally got them.
But regardless of that dont worry about the links

As long as you are moving in the serps and diversifying them you should be ok

that's BS. if you are talking about profile links and directory links and other high volume/low quality links with minimal content on page, then Google has no reason to count that link. you've got to shove the link in its face. go and try it. get an Xrumer blast of 20k verified profiles, see how many get indexed in a week, probably about 100. why settle for that measly amount when you can get it up to 12-15k indexed and counting for you. and pinging? pinging links barely makes any difference these days. do you think if you ping a link G will immediately go to it? no, it's more like an alarm clock and G just stirs a bit then carries on sleeping. getting links indexed is as big a task as any these days. anyone can blast the hell out of a site but getting them to count is a whole other story.

That was really nice discussion. Wealth of knowledge, We keep on posting that's nice, I too agree with it, but at some point for some reasons, if we want to know which link is performing well and which is not then how to find it out, where ever we have posted, even though the link is not indexed, how to find out the link which is having more views. I mean which pages of our comments are hot.

In my view maybe while posting we need to copy paste the link to some excel file, but I don't know what to do after that.

Im sorry but backlink energizer sux...it only helps you INDEX web 2.0 properties that you CREATE ON YOUR OWN. If you do backlinks by doing scrapebox, xrumer, buy links, article writing, etc. they cannot get indexed by using backlink energizer..

i also would like to know how to "index" our backlinks. But for sure a method that works with every link building tactics, not just web 2.0 properties
