Why am I getting clicks/commissions from Amazon Affiliate despite the site being totally dead

I had an old site that I killed of a couple of years ago because I was not really maintaining it anymore. It was an Amazon Affiliate website. The tracking for that is only done for that website.

I recently made a new website, with a different tracking for it. Few progress, not much traffic, a couple of days ago. I noticed I made a sale, I thought it was for this new website.

However upon checking the tracking, it was a tracking for the old site that I already killed of. How could that be?

I never share amazon links, I always only use it on the site. Additionally it was already dead for a couple of years. How did I suddenly end up getting a sale and click??
